Nvidia outperformed Letter set in market profiting by Wednesday, just a day after it surpassed Amazon. Bloomberg is revealing that the chip creator's stock is currently worth $1.83 trillion, beating the Google proprietor's $1.82 market cap just barely. This makes Nvidia the world's fourth most significant organization directly following the artificial intelligence blast, after Microsoft ($3.04T), Apple ($2.84T) and Saudi Aramco. The organization is at present making the H100 chip, which drives most of LLMs being used today, including OpenAI's ChatGPT and most of artificial intelligence projects from Microsoft, Meta, and Amazon.
The race to create the best artificial intelligence chip is heating up as some of the biggest tech companies compete to overturn Nvidia's monopoly on the GPU market. According to Bloomberg, Nvidia's top sales of AI chips come from those very same companies that are now trying to create their own. However, Nvidia is not resting on its laurels and is on the verge of releasing a new and improved AI chip, the H200, which boasts more memory capacity and processing speed than its predecessor.
Interestingly, Nvidia has also recently invested $30 billion in a unit dedicated to helping other companies manufacture their own custom AI chips. This means that even if companies choose not to build their own AI chips, Nvidia could still benefit from the growing market for AI technology.
Overall, the AI chip race is just one example of the fierce competition in the tech industry, as companies strive to stay ahead of the curve and meet the ever-growing demand for cutting-edge technology.e fierce competition in the tech industry, as companies strive to stay ahead of the curve and meet the ever-growing demand for cutting-edge technology.e fierce competition in the tech industry, as companies strive to stay ahead of the curve and meet the ever-growing demand for cutting-edge technology.e fierce competition in the tech industry, as companies strive to stay ahead of the curve and meet the ever-growing demand for cutting-edge technology.e fierce competition in the tech industry, as companies strive to stay ahead of the curve and meet the ever-growing demand for cutting-edge technology.e fierce competition in the tech industry, as companies strive to stay ahead of the curve and meet the ever-growing demand for cutting-edge technology.
In the interim, direct contenders like Intel and AMD are chipping away at their own strong chips that could equal the H200.
