The Netflix Games portfolio continues to grow.

Fresh off of the announcement of Valiant Hearts: Coming Home coming exclusively to the service next year, Netflix Games has announced a new set of games coming to its ever-expanding portfolio--some of which are dropping today.

Two games are being added to the Netflix mobile app today: The critically acclaimed indie adventure Kentucky Route Zero joins with all five chapters included, while Twelve Minutes, the time-loop-themed mystery that launched on Xbox Game Pass in 2021, makes its mobile debut with Netflix.

The company has also announced that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge will join the service in 2023, as well as TiltingPoint's Vikings: Valhalla. Vikings is a strategy game where players will build settlements and develop Viking clans, while Shredder's Revenge will be the full TMNT experience that launched earlier this year on all major consoles.

Netflix Games are available through the Netflix mobile app on both iOS and Android. All games featured in the app are free with a Netflix streaming subscription.

Super Nintendo World Opens At Universal Studios Hollywood On February 17, 2023

The Nintendo-themed attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood will open in two months.

Universal Studios Hollywood has announced that Super Nintendo World--the Nintendo-themed attraction at the theme park--will open on February 17, 2023. It's been widely reported since this past summer that the park would hold a ribbon-cutting sometime in early 2023, and this announcement means it's just a handful of weeks away.

Nintendo-themed dining options at the Toadstool Cafe and shopping at the 1-Up Factory retail store. The cafe will "will serve a gourmet menu perfected by Chef Toad where he will greet guests upon entry" including "Toadstool Cheesy Garlic Knots, Super Mushroom Soup, Piranha Plant Caprese, Mario Bacon Cheeseburger, Luigi Pesto Chicken Burger,? Block Tiramisu, and Princess Peach Cupcake." The retail store will allow attendees to purchase collectible memorabilia featuring Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Bowser, some of which are already on sale at Universal Studios. Additionally, the park will feature Power-Up Bands, which are wristbands that sync with Universal Studios Hollywood's app to "level up the guest experience within the land and enhance its many interactive elements." For example, the wearable will enable guests to collect digital coins and obtain keys after winning various challenges, which will "further enhance the kinetic experience within the land and immerse guests into the unique world of Super Mario." You'll also be able to punch your own. blocks throughout the land.

The timing of this opening makes a lot of sense with the upcoming Super Mario Bros. movie also releasing next year. Chris Pratt leads the cast as Mario, while Seth Rogen will voice Donkey Kong. Queen's Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy voices Princess Peach and Jack Black plays Bowser.

Mario Kart 7 Gets Its First Update In More Than A Decade 

What this update does isn't that clear though.

Mario Kart 7--that's the one for the 3DS--has received a new update, its first in about a decade.

You might read Mario Kart update and think, "Oh that's got to be for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe," as the latest batch of DLC courses has dropped, 

Before this update, the last and only other update the game received was way back in May 2012, which just got rid of a shortcut exploit in three of the game's tracks.

Whatever this update does, at least you know your general gameplay experience in Mario Kart 7 has been improved, if you're still playing it.

The more exciting of the two recent Mario Kart updates is the one for 8 Deluxe, which now lets you have only blue shells on if you like to live a masochistic life. The new DLC wave also adds eight new tracks across two new cups, so there's plenty more to dive back into.
