The series is all set to hit the global market soon, and the company has already confirmed the launch for July 5, 2022. According to the reports, the series is said to include the Asus Phone 6 and the 6 Pro. We are witnessing a series of leaks and rumors about the handsets and starting today Asus has shared a tweet confirming that the upcoming Asus is going to ship with improved thermal technology compared to the predecessor. The latest phone which many would agree is the best gaming phone on the planet is looking pretty good. Going with the certifications and rumors, the gaming smartphone is tipped to support 5G connectivity, 15W standard charging, and 65W fast charging support. Among the previously confirmed features of the phone, we also have an AMOLED screen with a 165 Hz refresh rate. It will be one of the few devices with this astonishing refresh rate. In fact, most smartphones are comfortable with the 120 Hz refresh rate, and just a few are exploring the 144 Hz. So, it will be comfortably staying in the position for a long time. The phone will also bring improved cooling to ensure performance and avoid throttling. The device will bring a triple-camera setup, and there is a small secondary display at the back. The phone is also said to have a rectangular-shaped camera bump at the back with triple camera sensors placed vertically with an LED flash. Besides, we don’t have much information about the phone, but we can safely expect more information to pop up on the internet as we move closer to the launch. Do note that the company is yet to reveal the design and camera specifications of the phone. And it's recommended to take this information with a pinch of salt. Though, the rear display panel has moved, which is a nice touch. The tweet shared by the brand confirmed that it is going to offer up to 30 percent improved Vapor Chamber that is capable of boosting up to 85 percent of graphic performance. The company has also confirmed that the gaming smartphone will be fitted with an AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is said to be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The leaked renders only show the phone in white, but we’ll likely see a black variant too, if past versions are anything to go by. We should see a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, but this time around there’s a 165Hz refresh rate. Under the hood should be a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip, promising power efficiency improvements from 15 to 30% over Qualcomm’s current flagship chip, plus 10% clock speed improvements. The chip still runs hot, more on that in a minute. We’re expecting up to 18 GB RAM and up to 512 GB storage, plus a beefy 6,000 mAh battery and 65W wired charging, so not much will have changed here. There’s also a headphone jack. Keep your cool with the notably hot-running Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, Asus has had to step up its game to ensure the phone stays cool.
- Though the previous generation’s cooler accessory was a little bulky for on-the-go use, it’s absolutely massive this time around, so not the most portable.
