When GTA Remastered Trilogy Is Reportedly Coming To Steam And Epic Games Store

It has been over a year since Rock star launched its remastered collection of Grand Theft Auto games from the PS2 era of the series. 12 months appears to be long enough for that collection to now be available through more storefronts on PC, as evidence has emerged supporting the belief GTA's remastered trilogy will, soon, be available through Steam and the Epic Games Store.

There have been rumors for a while that the trilogy would be coming to the two storefronts soon, after having only been available through the Rockstar Games Launcher on PC for its first year. Evidence supporting those rumors was highlighted by video tech_ on Twitter today in the form of screenshots showing code that has been added to the Rockstar Games Launcher.

While there is no date attached suggesting when the trilogy will be available outside of Rock star's own launcher, the hope is that the change will be made alongside a major update for the game. GTA's Definitive Edition was 2021's Poke'Mon Scarlet & Violet turned up to 11. Loaded with bugs and glitches at launch, you'd have to assume even more of those problems have been fixed for Rock star to be confident enough to add the collection to more storefronts.

Steam, in particular, is a minefield for any games that aren't in perfect condition when they launch. Especially a game on the level of the remastered GTA collection, with the history it has surrounding its initial launch. Players leaving reviews on Steam will pounce on any issues they find and let Rock star, as well as other potential customers, know about them.

Among the issues that plagued The Definitive Edition at launch was rain so heavy players couldn't see through it, and the unintentional inclusion of the Hot Coffee mini-game from the original. A problem so severe that the game disappeared from Rock star's launcher for days, even if you had already bought it, so the mini-game could be removed. The trilogy is also still coming to mobile, but not until sometime in the first half of 2023.

Grand Theft Auto is one of the most successful franchises in the gaming industry. The franchise is continuously getting more popular daily, but lately, fans have been unhappy with Rock star Games.

Not only was the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition a terrible launch at the start, but there is no update on perhaps the most anticipated game, GTA 6. Rock star noticed the disappointment in fans and released an update to the game not long ago.

Many of the issues that fans were facing were resolved, but many remained, and Rock star might come up with something to fix them. Despite many errors, many people played and enjoyed the game just for nostalgia.

However, a piece of information has been revealed, and fans might be happy. GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition is coming soon on Steam. Although there is no official information regarding this by Steam or Rockstar Games, a data miner, Ben, revealed that some activity popped up with the GTA Trilogy on the Steam database again.
