Players looking for a new way to enjoy Clash of Clans with their friends are in luck. Supercell has announced a major addition to the game ahead of its 10th anniversary: Clan Capitals, a brand-new social experience that is now available in-game.
Clan Capitals are strongholds in the sky that clans can create and customize as they please. The social areas can add new districts by upgrading the Capital Hall, while Capital Gold can be forged to purchase new buildings, defense, and weaponry for the clan.
The new Clan Capitals also introduce the first-ever weekly raid objective in the game's history, as players can link up with a and invade other Clan Capitals once per week. Damage inflicted by teammates will show on each screen in real time, allowing players to focus on certain areas when taking on an opposing clan's capital. Successful raids will earn each player rewards to strengthen their Clan Capital, home village, and builder base. Clash of Clans is a strategy game where players can build an army to take into battle against other players while also customizing their home bases and villages. The game is available now on both iOS and Android. Respawn tweeted the announcement alongside a trailer for the mobile version of the game. Though the trailer doesn't depict any actual gameplay, it does add some interesting lore and hints at a new legend that will join the list of playable characters in Apex Mobile. This isn't too much of a surprise, as Respawn has previously stated there will be mobile-exclusive content including maps, modes, events and even legends. If this new character debuts next week alongside Apex Legends Mobile: Season 1, it would mark the first time Respawn has ever unveiled two legends in such a short timespan. The world of will be the ninth expansion for Blizzard's MMORPG, and while it currently has a release date of "when it's ready," a listing for the expansion's prequel novel could provide clues as to when the flight may officially arrive.
As spotted by head, a yet-untitled flight prequel novel has appeared on Amazon with a release date of November 22, 2022. That on its own isn't much to go on, but as head points out, previous prequel novels have been released roughly four months prior to the release of a new expansion. Given the prequel novel release pattern and assuming the novel isn't delayed, it does seem to indicate that Blizzard is currently targeting a March 2023 release for flight. That's already around the same time period many fans have theorized would make sense of the expansion's launch, especially considering the fact that flight has not yet become available for testing on the game's public test realm.
Adding to the belief that flight won't release in 2022 but will instead come in early 2023 is the fact that Blizzard recently announced Shadow lands would receive a fourth season, one that won't include new content but will instead repurpose previous raids and dungeons. The season 4 will be shorter than a typical season and will likely come later this year. Shadow lands Season 3 started in March and, if past seasons are any indication, will likely run for up to seven months.
