When Apple MR Headset Is Likely to Feature M2 Chip and 16GB RAM

 

 

 

A recent online leak revealed that the Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is developing its AR glasses that are expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2024. Now a new report has surfaced online revealing that the upcoming Apple MR Headset may be powered by flagship M2 processor of the company.

 

 

 

New details about it are beginning to emerge as Bloomberg revealed in its latest report that the gadget would feature the new M2 processor in the base variant with a 16GB RAM.

The M2 chipset that was launched last month at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2022 features redesigned central processing units and increased memory capacity. The company claims that these improvements will give a boost to the performance of Apple’s upcoming mixed reality headset.

 

 

 

Earlier TFI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that the headset would contain a dual-processor setup containing a single chip which will be similar in capabilities to M1 with a less powerful secondary processor, which processes data from various sensors inside the device.

These rumors were recently brewed by Apple boss Tim Cook, who told China Daily that he was “very excited about the opportunities offered by augmented and virtual reality, adding that we will” soon find out what Apple will offer in this regard. ”

In any case, it seems that Apple MR Headset is already deep in development, and M2 should be in charge of its drive because we doubt that Apple could install older or weaker processors if it wants to attack the top of the high-end offer, reports Vidi.
