It was one of those moments in American history that people who were able to watch it for the first time felt like they were in a science fiction movie. But with television cameras throughout the movement, the nation and the world watched on July 20, 1969, as three American astronauts arrived on the moon.
This job has worked for years to make sure. You have to wonder about the amount of work, the technical expert and the ingenious ingenuity that created the rocket ships and all that would have been needed to make the flight possible, if even those at NASA had been surprised by Alden "Buzz". The first person in history to travel to another country. Say those famous words -
“That is a small step for a person; one giant jumps at humanity. ”
Those words, in their own well-prepared way, have a great deal of wisdom in them. Indeed, the first contact with another country in human history was a great success in America. But more than that, it marked a new era for mankind everywhere. Suddenly, the moon was not a distant myth, it was full of mystery and magic. Suddenly, people everywhere felt that they too could touch the stars if they did their best.
It was also a good time for unity for all. There are few things that make the people of the world come together and unite weapons into one people, not different countries. Most of the time, it is a global catastrophe that holds us all together. But this time it was different. This was such a great time that everyone stood and watched and everyone knew that this was not just a great achievement of the three stars and scientists who put it there. This was a great achievement for mankind.
American history is full of strange and tragic events. But it is important for a moment to reflect on what the arrival of the first month meant and to continue to say it to the American people and the American spirit. You have to ask yourself what other nation can have the ability, the creative power, the powerful minds and the desire to come together to see this kind of amazing success in success.
It is even more surprising to remember that a few years earlier, on September 12, 1962, President Kennedy challenged the United States to address this issue in a Rice University speech. There is a great need to do something historic and earthquake as the arrival of the moon in a real and visionary leadership like Kennedy showed that the day was a big part of why this arrival made history.
This remarkable achievement points to something remarkable in the American spirit. The American people are very dreamy people. And putting a man on the moon took big dreams. But we did not just dream of putting a man on top, it was unacceptable unless we found everyone at home safe.
For the most part the American space program has had an amazing history of success in breaking barriers that no one has ever done before. Yes, there have been obstacles and dangers along the way. But the American people do not give up hope and in all the problems we face, we face them together. But let us not forget to look up at the stars and dream of a day when we see an American setting foot in another country and planting a flag in that place as an eternal symbol of America!
