Ajith Kumar's upcoming film, Valimai, is one of the most anticipated movies of 2022. The film, directed by H Vinoth, was supposed to release in theatres on Pongal. However, it got postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. On February 2, producer Boney Kapoor dropped a new poster and announced the release date of Valimai. The cop drama will grace the screens on February 24.

Valimai's release was postponed due to the sudden spike in Covid-19 cases across the country. The film has been in the making for nearly two years now. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Valimai saw a lot of delays and the team faced different challenges.
On February 2, producer Boney Kapoor took to Twitter to share a new poster featuring Ajith Kumar. He also announced the release date with the caption, "Actions speak louder than words. The wait is well & truly over. Feel the power on 24 Feb, in cinemas worldwide.

Valimai is a cop drama in which actor Ajith will be seen as an IPS officer. According to director H Vinoth, the film is inspired by real-life incidents. Valimai is tipped to be a full-fledged entertainer with high doses of action and commercial elements.theatres on Pongal 2022.
