Breathing a sigh of relief, she ran at a steady pace into the anxious to arrive at the police station to reveal she found the ten million dollar ring stolen from Carter’s store. She’d also tell of the guy who she recently discovered had stolen it. With the eagerness Nancy felt, she barely noticed a hand rest against her shoulder, stopping her. She slowly turned around and found the man smiling at her. ‘You dropped something,’ he said. Nancy’s eyes went to his hand and surely enough, there was the ring.”

Reading takes my mind away from the world I live in and gets me caught up into the world of the story until I’m practically a part of the book.
believe the ability to read is one of the most important opportunities we have in life. Books expand your mind and spark your creativity. Books drive emotions such as love, hope, sadness, anger, and peace from you. Books trigger imagination and guide the brain through an amazing journey one would never think possible. I believe there is nothing like cuddling into a warm bed and reading a book that captures your attention and appeals to you. Reading is similar to a except the story is playing in your mind and not on a television screen.
I was a child, I adored when my mom would sit down and read with me. By listening or reading with her, I would get absorbed into the story of the book. I would enter a pretend world. One filled with princes, princesses, chariots, mansions, and imaginary animals. I’d find myself running through the Hundred Acre Wood one day and walking through Paris in two straight lines with Madeline another day. Now that I’m older, books introduce me to characters like Jane, Harry Potter, Bella Swan, and various characters from the author Nora Roberts. The more people read, the more they obtain this child-like mind.
is a gift. We have to take this gift and use it for our benefit. Books keep our minds young and carefree and take us to a different time like medieval times, ancient times, and future times. They can also take us to a particular place and setting and introduce new characters. I know books provide everyone with a wide range of ideas, imagination, and entertainment.

Nancy froze. She came so close to ending this case, but now it seemed that would never happen. ‘Put your hands up in the air now,’ a voice shouted behind her. Puzzled, Nancy turned around to see five policemen running up. Four of them grabbed a hold of the guy and handcuffed him. The other policeman walked up to Nancy, smiling. ‘Well Miss. Drew, I’m guessing an hour after you provide evidence and explain to me how you solved this crime, I can officially give you all the credit for closing this case. Tell me, how do you take on all these mysteries and end up solving every one?’ Nancy laughed. sir, solving mysteries is like walking to me. It just kind of comes naturally.
