The current third-generation BMW Z4 traces its lineage back to the 2019 model year, when it stormed onto the scene with considerably better driving dynamics than its predecessor. Oddly, the new Z4 arrived as half of an unlikely partnership between BMW and Toyota that saw the Austrian manufacturer Magna Steyr build both the Z4 and the revived Toyota Supra. Now, eight model years later, the BMW Z4 is wrapping up its production run, but not without a proper goodbye in the form of the Z4 Final Edition.
Bidding the BMW Z4 Adieu
Suffer from choice paralysis? This is the Z4 for you, as there's only one option: six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic. Every other question has already been answered for you, as every Z4 Final Edition comes in the same configuration. Thankfully, it's a pretty good one, so long as you don't mind the color black.
