The popular messaging programme WhatsApp has released new features that will make conversations a little more enjoyable and productive.
The most recent upgrades include polling and sharing with captions. To assist groups in gathering information and coming to choices jointly, the app has added three new polling updates.
“Make polls with a single vote: We're adding the choice for poll producers to permit individuals to vote just once in cases when you require a clear response. To disable multiple answers, just uncheck the box when creating a poll.
Look for polls in your conversations; it's not always feasible to respond to them right once, and it may be challenging to locate them afterwards. As with photographs, videos, and links, you can now filter messages by polls. Press 'Search' and then 'Polls' on the 'Chats' screen to get a list of all results.
"Remain informed of poll results: Now that you will be alerted everytime someone votes in your polls, you can quickly stay current on the results.
Transmission with Captions
One of the simplest methods to update your friends and family on your life is to share photographs on WhatsApp. Thanks to the app's support for media forwarding, you can instantly reshare photos from one set of contacts to another. However, there are situations when you might not have enough time to do so before someone answers.
In order to provide more context when sharing photographs across conversations, users may now send media that contains a caption with the option to preserve, delete, or totally rewrite it. In its blog, WhatsApp stated that users may "also add a caption to photos and videos when you forward them."
Sharing Captioned Documents
Similar to sharing pictures or videos, you might need to provide some context for the papers you provide. You now have the choice to add a caption before sharing, whether you're emailing a newspaper item or a professional document. Users all throughout the world have already begun receiving these upgrades, and everyone will have access to them in the upcoming weeks.
Users of the well-known messaging app WhatsApp will soon be able to transfer their chat history from one iPhone to another without using iCloud thanks to a brand-new WhatsApp feature.
iPhone Feature
Consider a scenario in which you've made the decision to upgrade from your current iPhone to an iPhone 14 and wish to move your WhatsApp communication history to your new device. In order to transfer their conversation history and media to another iPhone using the present approach, iPhone users must first make a conversation Backup and upload it to iCloud. The planned "Transfer Chats to iPhone" function does away with this requirement, though.
Currently, the only way to migrate WhatsApp chat history is to use the Chat Backup option to back up the data to iCloud. Users can transfer media and chat history using a QR code on the old iPhone with a new feature called "Transfer Chats to iPhone." Those who have limited iCloud account storage and are unable to save because of it benefit from the built-in service.
Although "Transfer Chats to iPhone" is currently in the beta stage, it is anticipated to be made available to the general public shortly. Meta's recent announcement of multi-device support for users with multiple devices is mirrored by the capability to transfer chat history. Data can be synced across all of a user's WhatsApp devices by logging into the same account on up to four devices at a time.
