If you are a young person who moves fast then...
Start with mumbai for about 2 days..head to rajastan for 3 days (mainly jaipur and udaipur)..head to delhi for a day followed by a week in kashmir (srinagar/gulmarg/sonamargh/leh ladakh)
Then head to punjab for 4 days(chandigarh/shimla or manali). Followed by varanasi (real india) and then kolkata-atleast 2 days each. Followed by north east india for 5 days.
Then head all the way to madurai in tamil nadu for 2 days followed by kerala for 4 days. End ur circle with goa :)
This is covering all the best places of india. Kashmir can be expensive so cut it out of the list if u r budget conscious. However its the most beautiful place in india (or maybe the world!)
If you are an easy going traveler then remove kashmir and north east india from above list and visit rest of the places over the course of a month :D
India is a very vast country. This question is really amazing as it pushes us as a travel help company to rethink on the itineraries and prepare some of the very best budget itineraries.
We asked some of the people in our circle who have travelled to India, which were on a real small budget.
The astounding thing about travelling in India is that none of them had the same itinerary and some even had drastically different. The facts which we analyzed were the preference of the travellers, the motive to visit India, what type of vacation you need to travel.
Although some of the most visited itineraries of all time are
the Golden Triangle Itinerary (North India) with the inclusions of the Rajasthan
Trekking and Adventures in the North (Himachal Pradesh)
Goa, Mumbai, Hampi in the South.
and the list goes on.
