Youth Sports International Forum held in Beijing
Beijing: The title of Winter Olympics Welcome, New Opportunities, Future Youth Sports International Forum was held in Beijing on 16 January.
Fu Chenpang, the vice president of the Chinese National Youth Association, delivered a speech while attending the forum. More than 70 people took part in the forum, including the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, relevant international organizations and foreign youth, heads of sports organizations, athletes’ representatives, sports industry experts and scholars, representatives of youth volunteers, university students.
Yang Yang, President of the Athletes Committee of the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, and Chang Lina, Deputy Director of the Volunteer Department of the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, delivered keynote speeches.
Yang Yang said in his speech that the current world is facing various challenges, and sport is one of the few human activities with universal rules, which reflect the values of fairness, respect and friendship. The more difficult the environment, the more people need spiritual inspiration and recognition of common values. And there is that power in play.
China-based representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in office, Vanno Nupech, President of the Confederation of Young Leaders Himadrish Suwan, etc. delivered speeches on the spirit of the Winter Olympics and the responsibility of the youth.
The forum was organized by the Chinese Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Foundation under the guidance of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League.
