What You Must Know About Diabetes

Diabetes is a disease in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin. Insulin is a hormone that helps the body's tissues absorb glucose (sugar) and make it available for energy. This condition can also occur when muscle, fat, and liver cells are less likely to respond to insulin. In people with diabetes, blood sugar levels and urine glucose levels rise, leading to excessive urination, thirst, and problems with fat and protein metabolism. Diabetes mellitus is different from the rare diabetes insipidus, which is caused by a lack of vasopressin, a hormone that controls how much urine is passed.

Diabetes is most common in adults over 45 years of age. People who are overweight or physically inactive. People who have close relatives with diabetes. Africans, Spaniards, Native Americans. The best diabetes in the world will happen to Native Americans. There were more women than men with diagnosed diseases. There are two types of diabetes. Type 1 diabetes. It is also called isolating diabetes. In type 2 diabetes, which begins in college, the body is still producing insulin. However, it does not produce enough insulin or the body cannot use it properly. Also called non-insulin-dependent diabetes.

Diabetes is determined by measuring the amount of glucose in the blood after a person has fasted for about 8 hours. In some cases, doctors diagnose diabetes by doing an oral glucose tolerance test. This test measures blood sugar levels before and after eating a certain amount of sugar.

Another test being developed for type 1 diabetes looks for specific antibodies (proteins in the immune system that attack foreign objects) that are only present in people with diabetes. This test allows you to detect type 1 diabetes in the early stages, reducing the risk of complications of the disease. Once diabetes is diagnosed, treatment consists of counting the amount of controlled blood glucose and preventing complications.

Depending on the type of diabetes, this can be achieved through regular exercise, a carefully controlled diet, and medication. People with type 1 diabetes require 2 to 4 insulin injections per day to provide the body with unproduced insulin. The required amount of insulin can be determined by the person, ie. B. People are affected by people, such as personality, nutrition, and other health disorders.

People with type 1 diabetes typically use a glucometer to measure the glucose level in a drop of blood obtained by pricking their fingertips. You can then adjust the number of injections, exercise, or food you eat to keep your blood sugar at normal levels. People with type 1 diabetes must carefully monitor their diet and distribute their diet and light meals throughout the day so that they do not suppress insulin's ability to help cells absorb glucose. you also need
