Most people know that their bodies are made up of a lot of water, but they may be surprised to learn that this number is about 70 percent—and yet studies show that we don't drink enough to replenish what we need.
Other drinks sure, but water? Not even close.
This point is highlighted by a study conducted by Dr. Alyson Goodman for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which suggests that one in 10 Americans don't drink any water every day.
Zero.
He calls these results "startling."
“Water is vital,” says Goodman. "Many health risks are reduced when you drink plain water."
Goodman believes that people who don't drink water get their water from coffee, sodas, food and other sources, which could theoretically be fine, except for the calories associated with these other liquids.
According to Dr. Theodore A. Baroody, in order for the body to function well, it must have water, and in order to function properly, it must constantly work to maintain the correct pH, or chemical balance.
To this end, the benefits of drinking water cannot be measured (preventing dehydration being chief among them), however, adding alkaline water to a diet already rich in nutrient-dense foods can help maintain the body's pH balance and also help avoid cancer, weak bones, premature aging and fatigue .
"An imbalanced pH can force your body to borrow important minerals from your vital organs and bones to eliminate excess acid," says Baroody.
Water like Alkame Water not only helps regulate these important pH balances in the body, but can strengthen the immune system, improve cardio-respiratory function and increase energy levels. It even fights against oxidative stress and free radicals.
Unlike its tap and bottled counterparts, Alkame water goes through a process called "micro-clustering" in which the molecules that make up water break down into smaller "clusters", allowing the body's cells to absorb water much more quickly and consistently. they hydrate you more effectively.
"If someone asked me, 'What is the one thing I can do for better health?' the answer would be simple: Start drinking alkaline ionized water," says Dr. Robert O. Young, PhD, author of "The Ph Miracle."
Drinking water is essential for life, but does drinking water specifically strengthen the immune system? The short answer is: yes. Water balances the body and takes care of important daily functions such as regulating body temperature, lubricating joints and getting rid of toxins and waste. When we get sick, one of the first doctor's orders is to drink lots of pure water like FloWater. It keeps everything in our body moving nicely and helps us stay hydrated and in good health.
Following healthy habits helps protect the body, including the immune system, and gives you a better chance of warding off disease. Boosting your immune system involves getting enough sleep, eating a balanced diet, and incorporating frequent exercise into your daily routine. While these best practices should be followed regularly to keep your immune system strong, they're even more important in the winter when cold and flu season is in full swing.
Protecting the immune system is now more important than ever to keep the body strong. In addition to drinking at least eight glasses of water a day, it is important to add water-based foods to our diet, such as fruits, broths, and other liquids that do not contain excess sugars or chemicals. Furthermore, the more active we are, the more water we need to drink to replace lost fluids.
