We have entered the Twilight Zone when it comes to the many foods being developed today. It starts with the Atkins Diet, then the South Beach Diet, now the Hamptons Diet and more. Everything is high in protein, low in carbs, but the difference should be in the quality of the carbs, not the one element altogether. If you are eating an Atkins Diet, South Beach Diet or other high-protein / low-carb diet, simply refrain from eating low-carb carbs like flour and sugar products (think if it comes in a box, probably low quality) from eating too many products, diet like fresh vegetables and fruits - yes fruits
Judge for your own food
The traditional Atkins Diet does not support many fruits (very high sugar) but think about that for one minute. An apple is a good food, a bowl of Apple Jacks cereal may not be of the same standard. One is highly processed with sugar added to white sugar and corn syrup, while the other is natural, peeled from the tree and made sweet by the sun. Which would you choose? Do not avoid fresh fruit by following your low-carb diet to the end
Eliminating healthy, healthy eating is not the best way to learn to eat better, but to significantly reduce the frequency of eating highly digested foods. I saw a site called GM or MM: God Made or Man Made. When you think of those words when choosing your food, it first makes sense. No one says you shouldn’t eat chips, whatever you like, but make them delicious - and eat GM food more often
Common Sense Diet
Common sense will answer the question about what to eat. If you are in Atkins, South Beach or any other low-carb diet, avoid processed foods, not natural foods. Stop using "quick" breakfast, and cook whole-sized for example, Of course you may need to get up 10 minutes earlier, oh okay. You deserve it!
You can still stay on a high-protein diet, but this one small adjustment will allow you to stay on your diet for the rest of your life, rather than staying short
Fruit Addiction
A person who refuses to eat fruit because he believes that it has too much sugar, is more likely to eat cakes, crackers, and sugary cereals. They may even drink sweet and sugary drinks, but they refuse to eat natural foods, grown in our world? That doesn't make sense, if you think about it. Did our planet evolve and thrive on digested food? No, it is not. The most recent evolution from our planet. Very recent. In fact, we have had less than 200 processed foods while our planet is millions of years old
With the huge increase in obesity, as well as our high consumption of processed foods, it is difficult to come to the conclusion that one causes the other. You will not hear the big industries put it that way because our economy depends on us buying the products produced by the companies that hire us. You will not see a report that “scientists have found flour to be killed,” even if it has been proven to be true because it does not support our way of life. We need industries
By seeing a foodborne epidemic like Mad Cow, and now Bird Flu, I can visualize a society without a mass-produced meat industry. It will happen - nothing but your local farm will be allowed to sell meat because the big farm industry cannot guarantee food security. Meat will be more expensive because if it can no longer produce in bulk, there will be no price hike. So do we weep and groan, begin to think of meat as something to taste and enjoy as the Sunday sauces we had years ago? We never ate meat every day - and we were not overweight. We did not eat too much processed food. Most of us had moms at home cooking dinner, making our lunch and preparing breakfast
