So what makes this substance too dangerous, and what will you feel if you fell into a pool full of it? Do you come out healthy, or you should rush to the hospital?
First, let's know about this gas-liquid nitrogen or LN2 is nonflammable, odorless, colorless, and creates a notorious fog whenever exposed to room temperature air. Its boiling point is very low, so it vaporizes very quickly, and thus it is very dangerous to handle.
It can be used to freeze and transport food products, to preserve sperm and eggs, and recently its use has been embraced by the public through the chefs in their cooking and by the bartenders in their fancy cocktails and smokey drinks.
Its easy availability comes with the increasing risks of mishaps by people using it for fun experiments without proper safety equipment.
Let's get back to the pool party, where the staff poured just 4 cans of liquid nitrogen for the fun and smokey atmosphere, so their clients would enjoy the fullest, but what would happen if the entire pool was filled with liquid nitrogen instead of just 4 cans. Well, one thing in vain, you wouldn't want to go for a swim in it.
Let's first take your hand in the pool, it would feel frozen, but it wouldn't be any frostbite because of something called Leiden frost Effect, it will form a vapor barrier that will protect your hands from freezing, but the barrier will only be temporary.
If you're planning to take a long swim, you wouldn't be coming back, out. Instead, you'll get severe frostbite all over your body. Then cold would work deeper inside your body.
Muscles, fat, your blood, and every other fluid in your body would be frozen solid, and your heart rate would go down rapidly. But on the brighter side, there probably wouldn't be much pain involved, since nerve damage would be too severe and occur so quickly that there wouldn't be any time to recover.
As terrible for a living creature to go inside the liquid nitrogen, it is beneficial for the dead ones. People are preserving their corpses in liquid nitrogen in hope of a future technology that would revive them someday. Adequately, only the future can tell.
As for the future, many patents of new technologies have been filled by many scientists that include liquid nitrogen and explore its potential.
CONCLUSION- To conclude we can say that it's too dangerous for your body to be in such a situation, and let's say if you survived the fall in the pool of liquid nitrogen, there would be long-term health issues that will retard the normal functioning of your body. So it's safe to stay away from such a situation and live long.
