Types of Diabetes Mellitus: Diabetes Types Difference !!!

Diabetes is a disease that affects how one's body converts food into energy. The characteristics of the body are that the food that a person eats is converted into sugar by a physical chemical reaction and it is spread in the blood. When blood sugar levels rise, it signals the pancreas to release insulin.

 

Risk factors for diabetes

 

Type 1 diabetes

  • Type 1 diabetes is caused by an immune response and the body mistakenly attacks itself. Type 1 diabetes is not easily understood, as is type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes. However, experts believe that there is a reason behind this. One of them is:
  • Family history: If any other member of the family is affected by diabetes then his / her next generation will be at risk of developing diabetes.
  • Age: Children of any age, adolescent or young person can get type-1 diabetes.
  • Skin color differences: In the United States, whites are more likely to have type 1 diabetes than African Americans and Hispanic / Latino Americans.

 

Type 2 diabetes

There are a number of underlying causes of type 2 diabetes. The following are the causes of type 2 diabetes:

  • • If you have pre-diabetes then you are more likely to have type 2 diabetes.
  • Overweight people are more likely to be at risk for type 2 diabetes.
  • Those over the age of 45 are at risk.
  • The next generation is at risk if any member of the blood connected family develops type 2 diabetes.
  • People who are lazy and work out less than 3 times a week are more likely to develop type 2 diabetes.
  • If a woman develops diabetes during pregnancy or gives birth to a baby weighing more than 9 pounds, she is more likely to develop type 2 diabetes.
  • Some geographical issues such as African American, Hispanic / Latin American, American Indian, or Alaska Native (some Pacific islanders and Asian Americans are also at high risk).
  • People with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease are at risk for type 2 diabetes.

 

Prediabetes

People with pre-diabetes are more likely to have this condition for a number of reasons, such as: However, those with type 2 diabetes are more likely to have pre-diabetes. E.g.,

  • If you are overweight.
  • If you are 45 years old or older.
  • If someone in the family such as father, mother, brother, sister has type 2 diabetes.
  • Be physically active less than 3 times a week
  • Having diabetes during pregnancy or giving birth to a baby weighing more than 9 pounds.
  • There are some geographical issues due to which
  • African American, Hispanic / Latin American, American Indian, or Alaska Native (some Pacific islanders and Asian Americans are also at high risk)

 

Gestational diabetes

  • People who are at risk for gestational diabetes are more likely to
  • Previous pregnancy had gestational diabetes
  • Gave birth to a baby who weighs more than 9 pounds
  • Over 25 years old
  • Overweight
  • If someone in the family such as father, mother, brother, sister has type 2 diabetes.
  • There is a hormonal disorder called polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
  • Women of African American, Hispanic / Latin American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander usually get their diabetes better after giving birth. But later they are more likely to have type 2 diabetes again.

Diabetes is mainly due to eating habits, obesity, lack of physical activity, family history, etc. But there is nothing to worry about. There is nothing to be afraid of following the advice of a regular doctor.
