Everyone wants to change their hair color. We all want to change our look from time to time, and sometimes it involves changing our hair color too. But there are some adventurous souls who have taken their hair color to a whole new level, and frequent coloring has left their hair lifeless and damaged beyond repair. While there are many professional hair coloring systems that only cause minimal damage to the hair, many still insist on buying hair color from a department store, so they can apply it at home. In many cases, this type of hair color causes excessive damage and can turn into a nightmare if you use it too often. You see, hair color is a chemical that changes the structure of your hair. Each time you color, the outer layer of your hair lifts, so that the color can be pushed into the hair strand. With each subsequent color, it becomes more difficult to get this outer layer closer to its natural and healthy state. It is the layer that first bears the brunt of the loss of hair color. This layer is also responsible for the shine and vibrancy of your hair color. If you apply too much color, you'll first notice a dull or dry look from the rough outer layer of your hair strand. These hair colors are very harmful for our hair, and we are using them continuously in our daily life. Apart from keeping your hair looking healthy and shiny, the outer layer or cuticle layer is also responsible for keeping your color inside. Once it refuses to come off properly, your complexion will start to fade and wash out completely over time. Trying to re-color your hair, will only be a temporary improvement as the color always seeps out from the damaged areas. If you ignore all these damage signs and continue to color your hair, you will eventually break down the entire makeup of your hair. At best, hair will become brittle and break. In the worst case, it will turn into a pulp and disintegrate right before your eyes. To prevent all these horrible hair color results from becoming a reality, make sure to give your hair enough time between colors to recover. Try not to change any kind of color for at least 6 months until your hair is short. Also, don't color your hair from root to tip for every color touch up. Color only the roots, so you can prevent further damage to the ends and get those trims when you need them. Color your hair roots as they say chemicals are very dangerous for our scalp, hair roots, hair ends etc. Coloring your hair roots should help your hair and to grow easily, and you can trim them as much as possible. Color roots can stay long for 5 to 6 months, and again you can color them easily. It is easy but very tedious process also. Hair looked good and can brighten your mood.
