When you first start blogging, you will likely continue to hear the terms “quality content” and SEO. Quality content should essentially provide a better reading experience for your visitors and give them the answers they are looking for. This, combined with good SEO, can also provide better indexing results with search engines as they will crawl your site and detect the quality of your content. So do you want to know what I would consider high quality content with good SEO? So keep reading. Here are tips for writing high-quality content with good SEO.
Relevant and concise
Always start by trying to create unique, relevant, and concise content. For example, don't include extraneous information in an article, such as if the article is about travel, don't include sections about furniture (unless it's completely relevant).
Also make sure what you say is correct and well documented. So, if you write travel articles, make sure that all the facts come from reliable sources. I often use press information from tourist boards or official information from brands and attractions to write my content. You can also consult official library publications and other reliable sources.
Keyword Density
Before you start writing, you need to think about your main keywords. These will usually be the key words in your page title. Then you should try to play these words in your content.
These keywords must represent at least 0.5% and at most 2.5% of the words in the article. Of course, this is a pretty tricky percentage to calculate, so use a plugin like Yoast SEO to calculate it for you.
Another important note about keyword density is that you should never use keywords. Like adding keywords at the end of your content but not in the context of the article
Content Length
Content length can affect your ranking in search engines. In general, the longer the content, the more detailed and high quality it needs to be. Content should be at least 300 words, but I usually aim for at least 800 words for most articles.
Of course, it's also important not to add unnecessary content. In other words, don't write nonsense just to lengthen the article. Make sure everything you write for your blog is relevant and helpful to your readers based on the topic you are writing. The length of the
content length of your content may have an impact on how you classify in the search engines. Content often longer must be more detailed and better. You should aim to make your content at least 300 words, but I often aim at least 800 words in most of your posts.
Of course, it is important that you don't add unnecessary content. That is to say do not write a garbage load to create your article longer. Make sure that everything you write for your blog is relevant and useful to your readers based on the topic you're writing about.
Images in the content
Using images throughout your article will result in higher quality content and should improve the reading experience of your site visitors. I would recommend using the highest quality images you can. If you’re not a great photographer then you can also find free public domain images on Pixabay, or paid images on sites such as Shutterstock.
Headings and structure
You must use headings to configure the content. Where H1 is the main heading and H2 is the subheading / section. If desired, you can use the H3H5 tag to add more structure to your content. Properly configured content allows search engines to incorporate these headlines into search results and increase click traffic. This sometimes appears in my Sofia Instagram Spots post, as shown below. The bulleted list is from my content heading.
Internal links
When creating content for your site you should be thinking about site structure and how everything links together. You should then link to articles that are relevant throughout your website. This should help you get more pageviews, which might be an important statistic if you want to work with clients.
I would recommend trying to link to at least five internal pages in each article. But only articles that are relevant. If you don’t have any relevant pages yet then you can always add links down the line.
External links
In addition to internal links, your content must also include external links. But these should also be relevant to the article. For example, if you're writing about the London Eye attractions in London, you can link to the London Eye website so that visitors can see more details.
Content Readability
Another important aspect of creating high quality SEO content for your blog is that the content is easy to read. This includes using short sentences and the active voice instead of the passive voice whenever possible. This makes the text clearer and more direct to the reader. Other readability points include the use of transient words and not too many copies (text) under each subheading. Again, Yoast SEO is a great plugin to use to check the readability of your blog post.
