I have included Atkins Diet tips for all of you who are on the Atkins Diet. Succeeded at this low carb diet, I lost 120 pounds in eighteen months, and I want you to be able to do the same thing! The best way to do this is to follow a diet carefully and make sure you are not tempted to back off or cheat. When I started the Atkins program, it was hard for me because I wasn’t really ready. I knew I had to keep my carbohydrates low and that there were certain foods I knew and could not eat, especially during the Introduction Phase. But knowing and doing it were two different things until I organized myself and learned to make food work for me and my lifestyle. When I did that, it was a breath of fresh air! Everyone on the Atkins Diet menu system has probably already learned the “cans and cans” of food, so I won’t go into that. Instead I have included these Atkins diet tips to help me - and I believe they will help you too. Here are my best Atkins Diet tips for staying in the program and succeeding with your weight loss goals: Atkins Diet Tip # 1 Take a picture "before". I had my wife take my picture before I started eating, and it really opened my eyes. I did not look good. Two weeks after the Atkins program, I told her to take my picture again. What an inspiration! My clothes were already peeling off and I could see that even my face was getting thinner. I started taking pictures every three to four weeks after that, and let me tell you, they are encouraging. Whenever I get frustrated or reach a point with my weight loss, I just pull out those pictures and remind myself of how far I have come. Atkins Diet Tip # 2 Store your refrigerator before you start. I tried to start an Atkins diet without going to the store at first. This was a mistake because most of the food I had was not part of the program, and most of what I had to eat was out of my house. The following week my wife and I took a list of acceptable foods to the market and collected everything I could find. Then I had no excuse and my wife found out that she could prepare tons of delicious and smart food because she had everything in hand. I also threw away all junk food and empty calories in my house so that I would not be tempted. It is very easy to pass a plate of spaghetti when you are not in the house! Atkins Diet Tip # 3 Make sure you take in your vitamins. This sounds simple, but it is one thing many people forget. If you do not get the right nutrients, you may start to feel tired and suspicious of food. If you take a good supplement of vitamins and minerals, you will protect yourself from disease, illness and the chance of feeling "exhausted." Atkins Diet Tip # 4 Find a partner to do the Atkins Diet with. Before I started Atkins, I had discussed it with a friend who decided to try it again. During the Introduction Phase he called me one night to talk because, he agreed, he was ready to succumb to the temptation - his son's birthday cake. I suggested another way, and we chatted. By the time we hung up, he felt great and the longing for the cake was gone. It 's great to have Atkins' friend - we even have lunch once a week to behave! We learned together how to read menus to find the best options, how to request a change and stay happy while we behave. We ended up on the road and enjoyed each other's company. Atkins Diet Tip # 5 Keep fast and easy snacks right. My wife always made sure that I had a shiny vegetable such as an edible vegetable with juicy branches and cucumbers cut and soaked in ice water for quick picking. Once they are fixed, there is a good chance I will reach them. I also keep several types of cheese in hand and boiled eggs are always ready. Both are perfect for lunch or dinner. You can also find a few Atkins bars for those times when you want a snack and are not at home. Keeping these five Atkins diet tips in mind has worked so well for me that they are now part of my life. I always have something good to eat in my hand, and my friend and I are now in the Atkins Food Care category, I look good and I feel good!
