What The Wise Woman Tradition Empowers Women

The Wise Women tradition is the oldest known medical tradition on our planet. It offers a unique approach to health that makes women center and deeply empowers women. This is in contrast to conservative - and highly alternative - healing traditions based on men's views that oppress women.

The medicine I learned in school was based on a linear, scientific, masculine worldview, the reality of which I never questioned. When this medicine failed me, as a woman and mother, I looked for alternatives. Herbs can easily and safely help me to take care of myself and my family, but I question the assumptions behind what I have been taught. He was. It is clear to me that alternative health care, like traditional medicine, makes women powerless. They both actively believe that the criterion for assessing health is masculinity in gender.

Considering that the definition of health is a healthy man, it does not seem to be a problem unless you are a woman. This major belief has hurt and hurt women directly and indirectly, from deep personalities to broader politics. This concept leads to attempts to "correct" - with medications and surgery - normal (and healthy) physical and emotional conditions for women, but not for men.

Consider: Healthy women are given DES (hormone) because they are pregnant - their offspring are more likely to get cancer.

Millions of postmenopausal women are (and still are) treated with hormones in an attempt to replace what they have "lost". Will this improve their health? No, the use of hormone replacement increases the risk of ******, heart disease and ****** cancer.

Menstruating women need some time alone. 'Instead' they are offered a pink Protein, to overcome their “frustration”.

Women are advised to have their ****** (and mostly their ovaries) removed because "they are not needed after menopause ... only in areas where cancer occurs." Everyone knows that a woman's ****** reaction to the loss of these vital organs may not be as strong and is likely to be lost. A century ago, a woman who challenged male authority (often without anesthesia or disinfectant) could be diagnosed as "hysterical" and she ****** ("hysterical").

There is so much more to medicine than the male perspective. I'm talking about a women-centric tradition. It provides a new way for men and women to think and create health at all stages of their lives. It empowers women to take responsibility for their health and their lives, to respect and honor themselves and the land. I call it the intelligent feminist tradition.

The wise women's tradition empowers women:

Focusing on simple solutions that are easily accessible

Sharing information freely

Provide listening with sympathy

Mentioning your weaknesses as strengths

Remind her that her body is the body of the earth, the body of the goddess, the sacred earth.

The wise women's tradition empowers women:

Keep yourself healthy, even if you have problems

Create your own healthy standards

Respect their natural cycles and changes (adolescence, ******, pregnancy, menopause)

Define yourself from a feminist-centric perspective

Connect with other women for personal and planetary healing

Modern medicine is very complex and difficult to understand. Many alternative therapies are also complex, some unnecessarily expensive, and some require specialized training and initiation. It makes women powerless. The tradition of intelligent women is that by focusing on simple actions that are easily accessible and free to share information, women have the power and ability to take care of their own health.

Wise Woman Tradition heals by enhancing the wholeness of each particular person. There are three basic elements of nutrition: regular celebrations, healthy eating and listening with compassion. When we hear women, when we hear each other, we are affirmed and empowered. Dating to the consciousness-enhancing sessions of the 1970s and conveyed by the Native American teachings of the talking stick, compassionate listening reconstructed women's stories into their lives.

One of the great gifts of the Wise Woman tradition is to change the name of our weaknesses in order to build strength. When we allow ourselves to be sad, angry, anxious, sad, confused, fearful, ****** and more; When we are allowed to do whatever we want to be a part of, we can finally find our wholeness / health / purity and celebrate.

The Wise Women tradition empowers women by reminding them that we are chaste and that our bodies are chaste. As women, we land ourselves. Each of us lives in the body of the earth. Each of us came from this holy place. And not only do we have the power to honor ourselves, we have the power to seek that honor from all others.

When women constantly receive a statue of the Orthodox for help, they accept a position of powerlessness. When women accept the argument of the Wise Woman tradition that they are already perfect and already enthusiastically healthy, they accept positions of power, even if they have problems. When women create their own healthy standards, no matter how fast and furiously they change, they create a space of energy where they can stand.

When women feel their natural cycles and changes (puberty, ******, pregnancy, menopause) are somehow ill or misdiagnosed, they open themselves up to medical experiments. When women realize that the tradition of intelligent women respects these states, they gain deep knowledge and great power in their lives.

When women define themselves from a male-centric perspective, they always slow down. When they define themselves from a feminist-centric perspective, they always win. The wise feminine tradition that came from the heart of the ancient grandmother gave women this power
