Each year, Google allows students in the United States to submit Google Doodle artwork based on a specific theme. This year's theme was I Take Care of Myself and encouraged students to consider positive ways to renew their mental and emotional health
Google's panel of judges, which included Selena Gomez and the 2021 Teacher of the Year, first whittled down thousands of entries to one winner from each US state and territory. After that, there was a public voting round to select the best Doodle for Google artwork from each of the five age groups to become the national finalists.
Out of these five, a panel of judges made the final decision as to which artwork and artist would be crowned the Google Doodle 2022 winner. Today, Google announced that Sophie Angola, of Leo, Florida, is the grand prize winner, with the company publicly revealing her artwork on August 16
We're told Sophie's work, titled Doodle for Google Judges, didn't resonate, particularly in the way it encourages viewers to accept help from those around them. .
