We live in a world that is constantly changing and evolving. Every time we buy a new car, a new television or a new computer we see. We see every month when the iPod releases a new improved model that offers more features, more disk space and more in a smaller package (OK because they haven't added video, but gadgets until then). Facilities are becoming smaller as they expand rapidly). The fact is that technology is evolving to an almost impossible level. Needless to say, you can literally turn yourself into a lunatic as you try to keep up with the pace of modern technology.
All you need to do is give them an outlet and the support they need to keep going. Let's do it. You do not have to be the first person to buy the newest and greatest in software and gadgetry (this is my mantra: I do not have to have a big bad new toy, I will survive the gadget crunch — it's now) but I'm always optimistic). The point is, you do not have to be the first person to try everything new and you will not only destroy yourself by trying but also destroy bank accounts, credit cards and second mortgages. The technology is expensive, especially the latest and freshest. If in any doubt, take a look at eBay and see how much PlayStation 3 is currently selling — insane and insane people have not even started subscribing to the amount they pay for these devices.
Technology is an amazing thing. It makes life easier for some and more enjoyable for others. The same is true of auto sound systems. The technology is there to make them more profitable for the car and the driver, while offering more features than ever before. Today, you are not limited to AM and FM. You now have a selection of CDs, audiobooks, MP3, XML and digital FM radios that offer some bonus features over traditional radio. It doesn't really matter if you have it perfectly fresh. Most of us have a laid_back attitude when it comes to painting a picture about ourselves. I remember it wasn't too long ago when DVD players weren't selling for less than $100. You can now get them regularly (after about 5 years) for less than $30. For many, this is just an example. PS2s were around $400 when they first hit the market and can now be purchased for $120. Technology evolves and grows around us, and prices fall.
The point is to spend your money where you want it to be. If you want an auto sound system, get what you think fits your budget needs. You do not have to have a top system in the technology food chain to have a great sound system that will give you pleasure for years to come. You are solely responsible for the decisions you make. When it comes to tech gadgets and gifts, it's up to you to decide where you want to invest most of your money. Trust me, I'm a gadget geek. I love playing with new toys and gizmos and seeing how they work — in fact, it's an adventure for me. At the same time, I realized that I could not always be the first person to get new toys, so I like to limit myself and decide which of them are important. When it comes to the auto sound system, you have to do it for yourself.
