A farmer had three donkeys, and he was taking them to sell in the market. On the way to the market, he saw a river and thought of bathing in the river. But he was facing a problem. He had only two ropes to tie the donkeys to the tree, while the donkeys had three. He was now worried thinking how to tie the third donkey. He saw a wise man sitting near the river and went to him to ask for a rope to tie the third donkey. This man had no rope. But he had a great solution to the farmer’s problem. The man told the farmer to tie his two donkeys to the tree with a rope and take care that the third donkey is watching you do all this. And then pretending to tie a rope with the third donkey.
The farmer followed the man’s advice and tied the donkeys and went to bathe in the river. When he came back, he saw that the three donkeys were sitting by the tree, exactly as he had left them. The farmer thanked the wise man and freed his two donkeys from the rope and patted the third donkey so that it too started walking with the other two. When he had gone a little further, he looked back and was surprised to see that the third donkey was still standing in the same place. The farmer tried hard to run the donkey by pulling it, but the donkey did not move from its place. The farmer pushed the donkey from behind and tried hard to make it go forward, but the donkey did not miss.
The farmer was helpless and went to the wise man again. The wise man asked the farmer, “Did you open the third donkey?” The farmer said in surprise that when I did not tie it, how could I open it? The wise man said that you know that you pretended to tie the donkey, but the donkey does not know about it. The donkey still thinks he is tied to the tree. The farmer went to the donkey and pretended to untie the donkey’s rope.
The next moment, that donkey started walking. He walked quickly and went to the other two donkeys. Guys, what is stopping us from moving forward and reaching our dreams? Is that thing a lack of resources? Is that thing a lack of opportunities? Is it not being with someone that keeps us from moving forward? Or have we tied our minds with different imaginary ropes? Ropes of doubt, ropes of fear, ropes of hesitation. Friends, if we want to move forward in life, fulfill our dreams, be successful, then we have to free our minds from these imaginary ropes. If you keep your fingers tied with these imaginary ropes, you are no less than a donkey.
When we have dreams, we have a passion. When we have a passion, we want to do it with perfection. Often, when we have some goals, we want to start it with a blast. We want to become an overnight star. We want to achieve the best as soon as possible....
Life is very difficult and dangerous in terms of value. Strangely, some are such defenders of a powerful presence, asking for incredible courage and giving incredible pride, that they are ready to extend the luxury of their home to grow Mount Everest and strengthen the joys of conquering the climax. Whatever the view, the perception of things remains unchanged.
