Well we know that figure skating is no stranger to controversy in 1994 the judge scandal in 2002 we had another one a big one at that of course was the Russian doping
scandal involving the fifteen-year-old the cast panel in charge of this matter has decided to let miss continue her participation in the winter games 2022 after a couple of great skates by her teammates as well as one of the Japanese skaters she comes onto the ice four minutes away from the gold medal and immediately has trouble stumbling on one jump stumbling on another then falling the arena was silent stunned as she came off the ice her coaches looked at her sternly and were quite cruel assessed her performance versus showing sympathy or being there for her as you would expect most coaches would be when afterwards saw how she was received by her closest entourage what appeared to be a tremendous coldness all of this you know does not give me much confidence neither with regard to what happened in the past nor as far as it concerns the future so what's next in this drama and saga it is another hearing the court of arbitration for sport will have a hearing on the merits of the case that's looking at the b sample for the athlete giving her a chance to speak out and obviously looking at every part of that positive drug test taken on December 25th when will it be resolved anyone's guess it certainly isn't going to be in days or weeks this could take months into the spring or into the summer how figure skating recovers from this it'll be interesting to see but certainly the Russian doping and the leadership of those Russian coaches has to be examined they have to be for her as you would expect most coaches would be when afterwards saw how she was received by her closest entourage what appeared to be a tremendous coldness all of this you know does not give me much confidence neither with regard to what happened in the past nor as far as it concerns the future so what's next in this drama and saga it is another hearing the court of
arbitration for sport will have a hearing on the merits of the case that's looking at the b sample for the athlete giving her a chance to speak out and obviously looking at every part of that positive drug test taken on December 25th when will it be resolved anyone's guess it hey thanks for watching if you like this video check out these other videos from USA today to stay up to date with all the latest i must say was disturbed yesterday when watched the competition and so first on in her performance high the pressure on her must have been and in particular a girl of 15 years old the body language you know could feel that this is mental stress and that maybe you know she would have preferred just to leave the ice and uh try uh leave this story behind her this was not all when afterwards saw how she was received by her closest
entourage with such a what appeared to be a tremendous coldness you you you it was chilling to see this rather than giving her comfort rather than try help her all of this you know does not give me much confidence in this closest entourage of neither with regard to what happened in the past nor as far as it concerns the future yeah we can only hope for her to see that this is addressed in in in the right way and that there is not a traumatic experience such a for such young woman you
