He was about to retire from the job after a few months. He had three young daughters and did not even have his own house to live in. The pension would be meager, he was worried about where he would live after retirement. How will the marriages of the girls be? He told me in a whisper that he had been praying to Allah Almighty for many months in the presence of anxiety. A few days ago, he was blessed with a vision of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in a dream, in which Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that you should go to Jhang and tell the Deputy Commissioner about your problem, Allah will help you.
At first, I suspected that this person was trying to emotionally blackmail me by narrating a false dream. Seeing the signs of doubt and hesitation on my face, Allah's Mercy was overwhelmed and said, "Sir, I am not lying." So maybe I would have lied in the name of God, but how can I lie in the name of the Holy Prophet ﷺ? My doubt was not fully cleared
But I thought that if this person is working with false statements, then he is resorting to the blessed name of such a great person whom it is our duty to keep. So I asked Rahmat Ilahi to come again after three weeks.
During this time I secretly inquired about his personal circumstances and it was confirmed that he is known in his area as a very truthful, pure and observant man of fasting and prayer and his household conditions are also what he described.
During that time, the provincial government had given the authority to the deputy commissioners to give up to eight square meters of government barren land to aspirants who were willing to settle them on a long-term basis. I called my wealth officer, Ghulam Abbas, and asked him to look for eight squares of crown land in a suitable place, which would not be too difficult to cultivate as soon as possible.
The property officer probably thought that I might want to give this land to someone dear to me. As soon as he saw it, he found a semi-inhabited land near the paved road and handed over all the documents to me after doing the necessary allotment process in the name of Rahmat Elahi.
On the second appearance, when Rahmat Elahi appeared, I presented this offering to him and handed it over to the wealth officer to help him in obtaining possession etc. and in fulfilling all other needs.
About 9 years later I was working with Field Marshal General Ayub when I received a registered letter in the President's House - it was from Master Rehmat Elahi that by working hard on this land he had married his three daughters and that he had married his three daughters. They are happy in their homes. He has also performed Hajj along with his wife, besides buying a little personal land for his livelihood and residence, he has also built a hut. In this prosperity, he no longer needs eight squares, so the complete documents of this allotment are sent back with this letter so that the need of another needy can be met.
After reading the letter, I got lost for some time. I was sitting in such a lost state that the President of Pakistan came to my room to talk to me.
I told them the whole incident of the divine mercy, so they were also very surprised
There was silence for some time, then suddenly he spoke. You have done a great job. I will telephone the Governor in Lahore to give this land to you now
I pleaded very politely that I am not deserving of this award. After hearing the President of Pakistan said that you are not interested in getting agricultural land, "No sir" I pleaded.
In the end, only two yards of land is used for the grave, it is found somewhere, somehow.
