What qualities should a coach have to win the Champions League?

A coach has to burn a lot of wood to achieve this achievement. You need to have experience, you need to have the courage to take risks, you need to have a plan B in any situation; A strong personality is required. None of which I see in Xavi. I'm not saying Xavi is bad as a coach. But from what I have seen so far, it seems that Barca does not have the ability to fulfill the goal of rebuilding the team at the risk of the existence of the club.

First let's come to the words of experience. Barca coach suddenly from Qatar club Al-Saad. No experience working with an experienced coach or playing for a European club. My brain has not yet caught on to how reasonable it is to give an amateur coach like Xavi the responsibility of Barca while having an experienced coach like Ten Haag as a candidate.

Xavi has yet to show the courage to do anything risky. All I saw was arrogance and arrogance. He can never take the risk of bringing in a youngster and showing him development. Young players like Pedri and Gavi have all come under Koeman. He doesn't want to look at any player other than proven players. Playing older players like Alonso regularly, Bernardo wasted a long time behind. But still hanging on to bring in young talent like Fresneda. He has no other options other than the targeted player. Is the market lacking players of the profile it demands? Or is he afraid to take any player other than his first priority?

Xavi has always struggled against teams playing low blocks; Same situation in knock out matches. In the European competition or against all teams big and small, the bones of his gameplan come out; It seems that something called tactics does not exist. Bottled in Europa with Frankfurt, Xavi was not brought on as they lost to Inter Milan and were relegated to Europa again. Despite the poor financial condition of the club, Xavi's favorite players have been made into the squad. Xavier's Barcelona has also been eliminated from Europe after losing to Manchester United with that squad. Seeing that Xavi's tactics were not working in these matches, he could not bring any variation; Xavi never had the Plan B I was talking about.

It is bad nature of Xavi to make excuses if the result of the match is not good. Sometimes blaming the referee, or sometimes complaining about the size of the grass. The futile attempt to avoid responsibility by becoming the coach of a club like Barca is very visible.

Those who are fans of coach Xavi can show the record of La Liga and say that he is bringing good results. You should also remember Ernesto Valverde. We won the league by sleeping. He did not complain about not getting his favorite player. That team was also pretty overwhelming; He was sacked for only one foul in the Champions League. Another thing to remember is that the condition of La Liga clubs is not unknown to anyone. The squad is far from improving, struggling to hold on to what it has. Fair play rules have to be sacrificed and their best players have to be released. So there is nothing to jump around with such a result against weaker opponents in La Liga.

Many people are dreaming about Xavi winning La Liga. It's good to dream, I dream too. But it is not the dream of winning La Liga or any domestic trophy. I dream of winning the Champions League. This is not the Barca I used to love. I do not support Barca with small dreams. I will not forget the amount of humiliation Barca suffered in the last 5-7 years by winning the domestic trophy. Without winning at least one Champions League, this wound of Barca will not dry a single point.

The team was rebuilt under Xavi, risking the club's survival; It is still ongoing. The goal of the rebuild is to win the Champions League. I watched Xavi play last year and a half. But I don't think he has the capability to fulfill this goal yet. I don't think he can do that this season either. Xavi got plenty of time, got the budget, got all the players in demand except for a couple. There is no place to complain. I don't want Xavi's love as a player to wane. I don't want any mistakes in his coaching career to tarnish his greatness. Xavi wouldn't want that either; His fans will not want. So Xavi should leave with honor if he can't do anything better this time.
