I'm sure there will be a lot of people reading this article and they'll think I'm crazy. I don't really care. In this article, I am writing about that in my humble opinion which is the most important things in life, health, and happiness.
All my friends talk about money:
Which car are you driving?
How much does your house cost?
How much do you earn?
How much does your suit cost?
Where are you going on holiday this year?
All of this I find to be boring and I think it is sad. They appear to be in a certain competition and are very focused on money.
I will give you an example of such a friend, whose name is John. He did not say anything else and kept looking for a way to get rich quickly. He also attends a lottery meeting, attended by about 50 people. Each member pays about ten pounds a week. John likes to party with people on Saturday nights, but soon he bites during the lottery election. After a few minutes, he will go into the bathroom where he will call his girlfriend. He took toilet paper with his numbers and a small pen. After his girlfriend tells him what numbers have been taken, John will spend about 20 minutes looking at his numbers, and then checking to see if he has any winning lines.
Eventually, you return to the team that seems most determined (except me) to find out how much you won/lost. So far you have won only a small amount of money, yet you are sure that one day you will become a millionaire. He will then start talking about the lottery, asking other people what they will buy if they are lucky enough to win. At this point I get bored and at first, I wish I could have stayed home and watched the ball.
For me, the two most important things in life are health and happiness. These are two things that money cannot buy. A few years ago, my father became ill. She was in critical condition and had to spend about five months in the hospital. Her illness had a devastating effect on me since she was only 57 years old. I was terrified, even though I tried my best to think and feel hopeful. I remember thinking, if I gave those doctors everything I had in the world, it would still not help him. I felt exhausted and immediately realized that money was only paper.
Happiness is the same, I remember when I was 21 I had a lot of money and I was surprised that I was depressed at the same time. Sometimes I did not even have money and I was very happy.
“Money Does Not Buy Happiness” refers to some people who live by it and others who ignore it. The saying goes that true happiness comes from within, not from things bought. To quote the words from the film Forrest Gump, "There is only so much money a man needs, and the rest is just for show."
