What MI UI 13 is now available

Xiaomi unveiled MI UI 13, the latest version of the company's Android skin, during the launch event yesterday. The redesigned user interface enhances security while also improving privacy and productivity

The first MI UI 13 beta has already reached 32 Xiaomi and Redmi handsets in China after being formally launched yesterday. The stage was opened by Lei Jun, the company's CEO and co-founder, who unveiled MI UI 13 - the latest user interface with greater privacy features and enhanced security.

MI UI 13 beta is available for the Mi 4, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11, Mi 11 Lite 5g, Redmi K40 Pro, and Redmi K40 smartphones. In January, a stable build of this update will be available for these and a few other devices.

The global deployment of MI UI 13 is planned to begin in Q1 of 2022. The company had already mentioned a number of devices that would be featured in the initial batch of the MI UI 13 update in Q1, 2022.

The availability of different devices is another big change for MI UI 13. Despite having a few  models, Xiaomi developed the MI UI 13 Pad, which is optimized for tablets. It was created with the intention of being used on large screens.

Over 3000 apps have already been written to enable the feature, according to the business. It will include Pad-specific movements like dragging, pinch-to-resize, drag-and-drop, and simply opening an app into a tiny window.

Xiaomi disclosed the MI UI 13 update plan in a recent post on Mi Community, detailing which Redmi and Mi smartphones and tablets will be eligible for the new version. The first batch of Ml UI 13 builds will go live on the China Closed Beta branch on December 29, with Public Beta builds following next month, according to the roadmap. Meanwhile, the stable rollout is scheduled to begin in Q1, 2022.

Xiaomi has released three new smartphones in China: the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12 FX. Punch hole display, triple camera as standard, quick charging, and 5G capabilities are all included in the Xiaomi 12 series smartphones. With these smartphones, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has also introduced its new MI UI 13 skin. MI UI 13 is based on Android 12 and is designed to improve Xiaomi handsets' smoothness and stability.

In China, these phones will go on sale on December 31. The smartphone manufacturer has not yet announced a launch date for India, but these devices are expected to arrive early next year.
