What Kills More :Smoking or Obesity??

People who are either obese or are smokers are both growing at a hazardous rate. While more and more people suffer from obesity and various diseases and complications that can be brought about through smoking, it is still frustrating for health advocates that some people don't care about how their condition is harmful to their health and well-being. Smoking is harmful to health. There is no doubt about it, and everyone should stay away from smoking. But other diseases related to our lifestyle are increasing the competition for the things that kill us. According to some new studies it is found that obesity and unwanted body fat may have contributed to more deaths than smoking in England and Scotland. These types of new researches are published in the open-access journal BMC Public Health where more info can be found. However, some health officials claim that obesity is worse than smoking.

Why is this so? Well, it’s because people love to eat rather than using a and this may lead obesity to cause more death than smoking in North America real soon. Health officials are concerned about Americans having poor eating habits and spending very little time in physical exercise. Research shows Americans prefer to watch tv than spend some time in a park or garden. This results in increasing cases of obesity in America. For those who argue which one is serious: smoking or obesity, some doctors suggest that it is very beneficial for you to quit smoking cigarettes even if it leads to gaining a few pounds. Because of this, doctors believe that the problem caused by tobacco is the leading cause of death in the United States. Still, obesity is the second leading cause of death in the United States, and it's increasing at an alarming rate. Although many people in America believe that there are many heavy people out there, they tend to live longer compared to chain smokers because they don’t have the irreversible effects that are being caused by a toxin(nicotine).

Another thing to consider when quitting smoking is that various diseases can be brought about due to overeating and increasing waistline; some medicines and drugs help reduce the harmful effects, thus helping obese people cure their ailments. It’s no secret that the United States is in the midst of an obesity epidemic, and now new preliminary research from the Cleveland Clinic and the New York University School of Medicine is disconnecting how badly its responses are. Preliminary findings from the study show that obesity is now the leading cause of preventative death in the United States - more than just tobacco. Obesity rates are at an all-time high, as results published by CDC. Between 2003 and 2017, the death toll from smoking dropped from 23.1 percent to 19 percent.

The death toll from obesity and excess body fat has risen from 17.9 percent to 23.1 percent. The authors estimate that deaths due to obesity and body fat followed those responsible for smoking in 2011-2014. Researchers found that obesity caused 47 percent more lives to be lost than people who consume tobacco. At the same time, people consuming tobacco lost an equal number of lives as high blood pressure in a year. (Based on these findings, researchers point out that anti-smoking and anti-tobacco efforts appear to be paying off.) Research in this study is still ongoing, but the initial message is clear: obesity kills like smoking. (And it also causes cancer.)

Put, being obese or addicted to smoking are both major health risks. However, it is easier to cure obesity and prevent it through adequate exercise, discipline, and a healthy diet than those already diseased by smoke. Life has taken a toll on their health, and even if they quit this bad habit, there is so much to improve their health that it is never too late to quit these habits.
