What does it take to be a successful entrepreneur?
1. Visionary! I must dream about my businesses as if they are just around the corner! The faster and more precise I understand the vision of my business plan, the faster I can implement it. I have to visualize in my mind how my business is going to evolve into a profitable one. I have to know what my team members want and what is good for them.
2. Persistent! Successful entrepreneurs are busy and cannot be seduced to go to the office every day. They believe in the long run staying healthy and optimistic are the critical ingredients of a successful business. Successful entrepreneurs want to be financially prosperous and save and invest their money so they can enjoy life. So their work-life is balanced.
The qualities of a successful entrepreneur
We all have a clue what are the qualities of a successful businessman or an entrepreneur? For all you know, the old saying which reads, "You can find the brightest and smartest people in the world, but if they can't work, they won't make it," may have been interpreted by some.
Have you ever realized that many successful business people and entrepreneurs have every one of the attributes you have listed below? As an entrepreneur, you are different in that you know that it is you who has been endowed with some natural quality, a gift, a talent, or an innate quality that allows you to make it.
Like the entrepreneur John Wanamaker when he noted,
"I am prepared to believe in God with all my heart, but not as a means to explain the universe.
Passionate
These are the successful owners that are the engines behind the businesses. Their passion and energy for their business are as crucial as their skills and abilities. The best business people I have ever encountered had great potential but lacked the power.
That will never be the case with me. I love my career and my company. It's not worked for me, and I am never going to stop caring about it. Passion is the antidote to all challenges and will never lead to a business failure.
Passionate about your work isn't enough. It would help if you were passionate about your brand, your company, and your vision.
The problem arises when you let other people get involved in your business without the total commitment required. Sometimes it's healthy and healthy for the whole team.
Intelligent
Innovation
Persistence
Determination
Determined
The greatest, most predominant by far, percentage of successful business people will agree with any one of those five accomplishments. However, not all successful businessmen are bound together in this ratio.
One businessman may be more intelligent than the average person. Another might have a vision that is greater than the average person. Yet another has some level of resolve than others.
We have a saying here in Africa; "it's not what you know but what you can get away with that determines success." This saying is not only true in Africa but also everywhere else.
I still remember the years ago when my brother and I got to go and watch one of the big soccer teams in Ghana.
Time-efficient
The business world is close-minded and has a wealth of rules and restrictions to wade through. The only way to succeed is to be ahead of the curve and achieve through long-term business ethics. It's a perpetual struggle. You have to keep up with the trends, forecasted data and keep your income earmarked towards your future investment or lack thereof.
Perseverance
New ventures need the wholehearted capacity to complete just about anything they take on, no matter how well or not so well, they go. Greatness is more than flattery.
Invention
The old saying "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" is untrue and, at worst, profoundly detrimental to innovative thinking. Successful entrepreneurs (99.9 percent) act as human trial and error for new concepts and ideas.
Focused
A person cannot be a businessman and have a moral value.
Self Mastery
That is why both investors and customers respect a man with self-mastery. He is not on a few million run, and an entrepreneurial man is on millions and a capital.
Trust
Entrepreneurs can believe in their enterprise without ceasing. They trust the people who buy their products and services. They trust the people who buy their properties and operate their businesses. They trust the people who employ them and the people who hire them.
Passion
Entrepreneurs possess a spark in their palms of combustion that means they find joy in the satisfaction of their business.
Common Mistakes That Increase An Entrepreneurial Life
Do not listen to negative remarks. Do not listen to people who say negative things about you.
