  Choosing a school with a big building, luxurious classroom or huge auditorium does not secure a child's future. Admittedly, getting a child enrolled in a good school is not as easy as it used to be. Are they taught to learn, unlearn and learn again?

  Teacher competence

  It is very rare that parents go to the school and talk to the teachers before admission. This is a big mistake because these teachers are your child's guide. Your child is going to spend the next 14 years with them. Ask what is the average experience of the teachers of the said school? Does the school send teachers to learn new techniques of teaching? Try to talk to one or two teachers. Even a small conversation can give you an idea about the teachers of the school.

  Learning outside the classroom

  As important as the studies inside the classroom, it is equally important to spend time in the lab and sports. Are the children there taken on field trips? Are they introduced to people who have achieved success in different fields? What, apart from studies in school, how to fight the ups and downs of life and failures are taught? The more knowledge your child acquires about the outside world, the better it will be for him.

  If possible, go through some of the class books and try to understand what children read in different subjects. How is the assessment done after their learning? Are children still assessed by marks? It includes only book knowledge or also projects, interviews, journals etc. Before enrolling the child in any school, you should talk to the upper class children studying in that school and their parents.
