What is Your Groove

We all come to a point in our lives, as in the film "How Stella Found Her Groove" who lose sight of who we are. Life has a person who has many different roles as a parent; the employee and partner often lose “us” by being there for the sake of others. Although Stella found her anger at meeting a man 20 years younger than her, how do we know that Stella will stay? Stella still had some issues in her life that she needed to fix before she could go on vacation to Jamaica. Taking a vacation is a temporary fix. When you come back all the problems are still waiting for you.

To start working on your canal you must first remove the garbage that is preventing you from being happy. When I say trash I mean the emotional things in your life that are holding you back from enjoying your life. If you have a problem forgiving someone who has passed away a long time ago this is an emotional problem that needs to be addressed before you can move on in your life. Holding on to resentment is like walking on a manger. Any opportunities that come your way will not be ignored because you are still clinging to the past. In Iyanla Vanzant's book "In the Metimeme" she discusses how we should start in the subconscious mind and deep down in our thoughts.

Physical gain can also prevent us from regaining our balance. Say you were slow to clean your garage. If you think too much of it and do not take action it will bring you back. In the film, Stella worked at a very lucrative job but stress was unbearable. His dream was to build furniture and he was doing nothing to achieve his dream. Very few people realize that the things we do not do will work harder than the things we actually do. As long as you slow down this lowers your energy level and ultimately makes it even harder to achieve. Your subconscious begins to accuse you of being lazy and after a while you begin to believe what your mind tells you is true. You need to start taking baby steps to get back into action so that you will feel better about yourself. If you have a dream or a dream, you should set aside some time each day or once a week to accomplish whatever you want to achieve. You will see that once the matter is settled you will feel the rush.

Once you've taken out the trash, it's time to work on it. Now is the time to pay close attention to what you have to say. During this time you will always have to do something special for yourself. Every Thursday I take it as my day for me. On this day I order the kids and do whatever it takes to make me happy. If it is just reading a book, this is what I do on this day to give myself special attention.

Another thing to consider is removing people from your life who are not improving your health. If you are in love doing more giving than receiving this may be something you have to reconsider. I'm not just talking about love. This can cover friends and family. Sometimes people have a tendency to take your kindness for granted. As long as you do not set boundaries with these people they will continue to take and not donate. You deserve better! You need to realize that you have the right to think for yourself. If you don't give yourself special attention "usually" who will? You must learn to say no. If it is something you do not want to do or do not have time to do, just say no. You should not do anything in life that you do not want to do unless you pay taxes.
