2. Ego
Cognizance of your individuality is the birth of EGO
Every thought and action of yours for the rest of your life is propelled by this EGO.
EGO expresses itself through the mind as desires and emotions, which are the triggers for all actions and reactions. . These, in turn, get you in the loop of birth and death.
Becoming humble by recognizing that there is a supreme power behind everything is the first step towards dissolving the EGO.
If you want to be the master of your life and be successful, you should be aware of the purpose of life and be ready to sacrifice your ego; the ego can be tamed or sacrificed only when you surrender to god.
When you walk on the road or drive a vehicle, you merely consider it as an instrument that facilitates your movement; you do not involve yourself or attach any importance to it; however, similarly, you fail to detach yourself from the mind and body and continue to have a connection with them in the form of ego.
Your ego function at two levels, one in a waking state and another in a dream state.
In the waking state, the soul works through the body and mind in the dream state; the soul works through the mind.
The physical form gives you a sense of individuality, the perception that you are an entity different from the rest of the creation,n. If you can live in the present, then all the states vanish. You only pulsate with the present. Still, the body is ever-changing and subject to destruction. The moment you realize this, your ignorance vanishes, your ego disappears, you cease to identify yourself with the world you merge with the cosmos, thereby attaining liberation.
You think that you cannot act in this world without the ego but know that when you are with your ego, you are away from the truth.
Deal with the world without attaching your ego
When you acknowledge anything, you act from 'acting' and 'thinking' if you can move to 'reacting' and 'reflecting,' then the doership falls by itself in the short span of our existence; it is our duty to be of benefit to others.
When we discard our body, we should leave with a sense of fulfillment and with a feeling that we are complete; the feeling of 'fullness' cannot be achieved as long as we have an ego and unsatisfied desire to see the sun, which is all-powerful and sustains life on this earth it is just one among billions of stars in the universe.
Even on this earth, only one-third land there are hundreds of countries each having hundreds of cities with each city has hundreds of localities, and you live in one such locality, which consists of thousands of houses. Even in your houses, you are one of the family members.
When you are such a pint part of this creation, why do you have to develop your ego and be egoistic?
When a person dies, we say he has passed away; then the question arises as to whether he is the body or the soul?
The mind plays a vital role in binding the soul to the body, so you should think, 'from where is this ego working?' this kind of self-inquiry and thinking leads you to merge with god...
