What is vitamin D?
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble mineral that builds up in the skin. When sunlight comes in direct contact with UVB rays and touches our body. Converts a chemical present in your skin into Vitamin D3. It is taken up in the liver and kidneys, and then it gets converted into active vitamin D. However, continuous exposure to the sun for a long time increases the chances of getting skin cancer, so you should be exposed to the sun for a limited time to avoid vitamin D deficiency.

Why is vitamin D important for our body?

What are the best sources of getting vitamin D?
Sun rays-

Eat almonds-
Vitamin D is found in abundance in almonds. Our body gets a good amount of vitamin D and calcium from almond milk, which along with strengthening bones, also helps in bone development.
Eat fish-
Vitamin D is found in abundance in fish. Especially fish like tuna and salmon are very beneficial for bones because it fulfills one-third of the amount of vitamin D in your body.

Mushrooms are actually a good source of vitamin D. It is very good at absorbing sunlight. Which makes it a good source of vitamin D. Orange is a good source of vitamin C as well as a good source of vitamin D. Therefore, you can consume oranges regularly to meet the deficiency of vitamin D.
Consume butter-

Consume cow's milk-
The name of milk comes first as the source of vitamin D, so vegetarians can meet the deficiency of vitamin D by consuming milk. Many other nutrients are found in milk, along with protein, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, manganese and zinc, vitamin D and vitamin A are also present in milk.
