For example, http://www.yahoo.com has an HTTP hypertext transfer protocol using which one can visit a website called yahoo.com on the World Wide Web. A domain name represents an Internet Protocol resource through the Internet. It contains the com domain code.
www is the name of a server. All the pages on the website have a unique URL. If we see in our real life, when we have the address to reach any letter or any courier, then only we are able to send it. If there is no address on the parcel, we will not be able to send it anywhere.
