The holy Quran is the word of Allah. It is our way of worship until the day of judgment. This means that there is no contradiction between what it says and what the new science finds. If we look for further evidence that the earth is aware of and illuminates the sun, we can examine the Quranic verse which says "backward you see mountains and leap steadily, but they will pass away as the clouds pass (by) the art of Allah. Who puts everything in perfect order: for He knows all that it does."
