India has numerous languages and multiple cultures. The nation concentrates on unity from diversity. It had been recognized as indigenous ingrained tradition across the world until 2010. However, it has drastically changed in the last 10 years. Many can say a lot of reasons such as the rise of BJP, high involvement of foreign MNCs, not having proper true knowledge of their traditions, etc. Whatever it is, the people have transmuted their beliefs, attitudes, and behavior into a western-oriented system. I have a reason why I chose this topic to discuss. Many might have awareness about the news of having a relationship with another's spouse. It had not created a big impact among Indians, as it had happened in a western country. But now the same horrific event has occurred in India. A month ago, a woman from Kerala shared her experiences with her husband in a podcast.
She loved a person for 5 years and married him in 2012. Both started their love with a fresh movement. Her husband had to go to Saudi as he had a job there. She continued her life with her children. In 2018, her husband returned home with a tremendous surprise. She never expected such a thing from the person whom she loved for 5 years and has been holding his hand until now.
He told her about his connection with some people on telegram and WhatsApp. He explained that if he sends his wife with other people, so he can earn more money. It was ridiculous to her when she heard about it. She screamed, tried to not do as he said. However, she agreed to go with the person whom her husband forced to have physical relationship with. At some point, she implied her situation to her parents indirectly. Nonetheless, it ended up useless. Many times, parents do not recognize the reasons behind the words of their children. Her parents also did the same thing. They thought that she had some disputes with her husband. They called her husband and spoke with him and sent her to live with him.
Again he started his horrible things. She shared her entire story in the podcast. Her brother unexpectedly listened to the podcast and identified the woman as his sister. He went and asked her what happened and if it was true. She told him the entire story. It was intolerable and he became furious. At the end, he cut the hand of her husband. He didn't stop there. He went to the police to file a complaint against him.
Police were shocked by hearing the case. Eventually, they arrested her husband and investigated. There were more surprises for the police. Currently, around 7 people have been arrested by the police as they have been involved in the crime. The desire for having physical relationship is the key reason which has forced the generation to do such activities. In addition, the need for money has really haunted many of us. To gain it, people are ready to do anything. In my personal point of view, I believe that if the government takes proper action to correct the corrupted educational system, the future generations will be on the right track. Some of you may think that what is the offense if men switch their wives or women switch their husbands. The crime does not imply the wife swapping, instead, it implies the reasons behind the scenes, consequences of the event. To comprehend those things, just imagine what will be the mindset of children who endure such cultures.
