What is The Struggle

What do butterflies and human spirits have in common? Meet Maggie, a middle-aged wife, and inquisitive mother.

Maggie isn't rich, like a millionaire or homeless. He lived a moderately comfortable life. It's even better when a girl comes along. She made sure that her husband and daughter's needs were met and that they were still able to take their annual vacation to the beach.

Maggie was her husband's business partner. Both have other duties that keep everything in balance. One day, her husband's business was hit, and his business was offline for three years. Her husband needed to reinvent himself and wanted to pursue his dream with a new career. He was happy for her and supported her, but still, no money came.

Maggi began to feel guilty about not contributing any income. He has been working outside the home for a long time and has to work for others. Needless to say, he was afraid, but he believed that everything would be fine. He started job hunting and found it quite difficult to fill out the form, especially the part asking for job references. Keep in mind that she and her husband have been self-employed for 20 years. He didn't mind because he was never called for an interview.

While hunting, his mother became sicker than before and spent a week in the hospital. When Maggie's mother came home, she was her mother's assistant one day a week. She went shopping, changed the sheets, vacuumed, and did other things her mother couldn't do anymore. Sure, her mother would pay for her time and labor, but she still felt the need to find another source of income.

One of the first applications he filled out finally arrived. She passed the interview with flying colors and said she was "exactly" what they were looking for. It was all he wanted, even if it was only part-time. The important thing is that the daughter is at home when she comes home from school. He said they will contact him when the schedule is ready. Knowing he had a job made him content and productive again.

Within a few weeks, he received an email saying that the company had changed his job to full-time and that he was no longer employed. Maggi is very sad. He felt betrayed and cheated. That afternoon, she was alone after her husband and daughter went out for the night. He welcomes loneliness and wants to drown his sorrows in a hot pot of bubbles.

As he knew he would, he began to cry softly at first from the pain of rejection. The three-year struggle finally caught up with him. Then he got angry. He was angry at everything, from the situation that caused him to be at God himself. She cried more and shouted, "What do you want to do?" He felt that God had left him.

When she couldn't cry anymore, she got tired and gave up. At that time, the quiet idea came to him to care for other elderly people at home.

Using another talent for computers, he printed some flyers and cards and distributed them to his church, and grocery stores, and even placed a small ad in the newspaper. Acquired two new clients in a week.

Now, even though he is not the CEO of a big company or a power player, he feels happy and productive. So, did God forsake him? Let's look to nature for lessons and answers.

Before coming out of the nest, the butterfly has to go through many difficulties. Yes, I struggle. Every time they fly, the acids in their lungs are expelled from their wings. If someone comes and breaks open the chrysalis for it, the butterfly will die from the acid. The struggle is necessary for survival. Then in silence, when the struggle is over, the butterfly can emerge and share its beauty with the world.

We are not unique as humans. There are times when we must struggle to get rid of the acid that creates sadness, fear, and anger. This is only when we are exhausted and start to hear the universe whispering to us.
