The new film in Bollywood's horror franchise '1920', released this Friday, '1920: Horror of Hearts' did not get any strong promotion and neither the name of any big star is associated with the film. But still, the new film has surprised with its earnings among big films.

Avika Gaur's debut film '1920: Horror of Hearts' released in theaters this Friday. Known for popular TV shows like 'Balika Vadhu' and 'Sasural Simar Ka', Avika's film is surprising from day one. On Friday, the film earned much better than expected. The opening collection of the film was even better than 'Adipurush' and 'Zara Hatke Zara Bachke' already present in the theaters.

Rahul Dev is in the lead role with Avila in '1920: Horror of Hearts'. Neither the makers did a very expensive promotion for this film made in a limited budget, nor is the name of any big star in the film. But in spite of this, the kind of solid collection the film has done on the very first day itself is a great wonder.

In Vikram Bhat's '1920' film series, '1920: Horror of Hearts' is the fifth film. In this franchise, where the first two films were directed by Vikram Bhatt. While the third film was directed by Ti nu Suresh Desi. Vikram Bhat once again returned to the director's chair in the fourth film '1921'. This time, '1920: Horror of Hearts' has been directed by Vikram's daughter Krishna Bhatt.

Surprised by solid earnings on the first day,        '1920: Horror of Hearts' was released in theaters on Friday without any special discussion. Trade experts also did not have high expectations from this film. Reports suggest that the film was released on less than a thousand screens on the first day. Box office reports suggest that the fifth film in the '1920' series has made an opening India collection of Rs 1.48 crore.

Prabhas's 'Adipurush' was released in theaters last week, earning better than big films. But after the first three days, its collection started falling badly. The situation is that after net India collection of more than 220 crores in the first 3 days, 'Adipurush' could not earn even 40 crores in the next 4 days. Friday was the 8th day of the film in theaters and the film has not even collected the full Rs 4 crore. The Hindi version of 'Adipurush' collected around Rs 1.40 crore on Friday.

Apart from Prabhat film, 'Zara Hatke Zara Bachke', which was released in theaters three weeks ago, is also in theaters. The Vicky Kushal and Sara Ali Khan starrier earned Rs 1.35 crore on Friday. '1920: Horror of Hearts' has earned better than both these films on the first day itself.

  Bollywood's longest and hit franchise

Between Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe, 'Gol maal' series and Akshay Kumar's 'Houseful' series, people rarely remember that '1920' is one of the biggest franchises of Bollywood. '1920: Horror of Hearts' is the fifth film in this series. The four previous films of this series - 1920, 1920 Evil Returns, 1920 London and 1921 have been box office hits.

'1920: Horror of Hearts' has not only taken a solid start on Friday, there can be a big jump in its earnings on Saturday as well. It is being speculated in the reports that, Avila Gaur's film can collect around Rs 2.50 crore on the second day. According to this, the film is seen earning around Rs 8 crore in the first weekend. There is every chance that, like the previous 4 films of '1920' series, Avila film will also become a hit at the box office.
