Peace be on you.
1) Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) prophesied about two kinds of problems in later days; internal and external.
Internal problems = Muslims will become weak in faith and practice, and will not much follow ‘do and don't do’, as taught by Allah.
External problems= Blasphemy against Hazrat Muhammad PBUH, Islam and the Quran will be done. Human will be presented as the son of God with all possible ways, and salvation will be said to get, just believing it.
2) Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) was given glad tiding about the advent of his Servant from his Ummah,, who will correct the external problem, and due to this property, he will be given a metaphoric name ‘Messiah son of Mary’. This Servant will solve the internal problem as well and will be called ‘Mahdi’.

Indication of this glad tiding is included in prophecy, ‘wa akhareena minhum’ in Quran (62:4)
3)Roots of Problems= Djal and Gog Magog.
Evil practices are being used since Hazrat Adam a.s. Now all those evils are gathered against final teaching of Allah.
Metaphorically, these evils are called:
Djal, because they use deception, they are evil from the inside, the cover is good.
Gog Magog, ‘yajuj majuj’, yajuj is linked with word ‘ajeej’ it shows they shall use fire-power. These are powerful nations, which affect poor ones in all aspects of life i.e. liberal-living, not caring halal and haram, drinking, gambling, the excessive concept of freedom, immodesties, dress, style, etc. Their effect is false shinning and it puts the awe in hearts and minds.4) Two Problem(evils) versus Two Manifestations of Virtues,
For two manifestations of evil, two manifestations of truth were needed, which are called ‘Mahdi’ and ‘Messiah son of Mary’. Mahdi means guided one to remove internal problems (weakness in Muslims), so Promised Servant is guided by Allah and Messiah means he has messianic qualities (to pray, serve and establish Oneness of Allah).
Same peaceful servant of real Islam with two titles:
i-Messiah son of Mary, By virtue of this metaphoric name, he will do external service is to remove evil, as said: ‘yaqtolul khinzira’ and ‘yakser-ussaliba’ i.e. It does not mean he will go in jungles and kill all pigs and will do war. Clergies wrongly say that as soon as he will come he will go for war. According to right Ahadith, Messiah will not make war, he will come for reform. His will repulse evil by prayers and arguments. Isa means ‘one who is saved’.
ii-Mahdi, By virtue of this property, he will bring goodness, i.e. he will change bad-habits and immoralities with right-guidance. Mahdi-manifestation is perfect because it is to bring goodness. For example, removing a thorn from someone’s path is nice but giving a ride to someone and taking him home for food is nicer. That is an in-depth explanation of Hadith, Isa will do Bai'at of Mahdi khalifatullah. ...Mahdi is the metaphoric manifestation of Hazrat Muhammad PBUH and because he was Khatamul-anbiya and Akmalul-anbiya, so his manifestation is perfect as well.

Misunderstanding, Some religious people misunderstood, as they accepted one manifestation that Mahdi will come in name and morals of Hazrat Muhammad PBUH but they thought ‘Isa son of Maryam’ will come from sky.
Those Ahadith are not original, which state as soon as Mahid will come he will start killing people. It is against the principle of preaching and advent of a chosen person he will begin killing as soon as he will come. How he be reformer then?
5) Mahdi is none but Isa, It is a right Hadith… and
6) Mahdi is lost in love of his Master PBUH..Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said Mahdi’s father’s name will be as of his father’s name, and his mother’s name will be same as of his mother’s name, he will be at his ‘khulq’ i.e. moral.
It only meant Mahdi will come fully on his Master PBUH’s footstep and will be lost in him (in love).
