కరోనా కేసులు మళ్లీ భారీగా పెరుగుతున్నాయి. 27 వేలకు ఎక్కువగా కొత్త ఒమిక్రాన్ కేసుల సంఖ్య నిన్న నమోదు కావడం కంగారు పడవలసిన విషయం. కొత్త కేసుల పెరుగుదల మునుపటి వాటికంటే 21శాతం ఎక్కువగా ఉంది. ఇంకోవైపు కొత్త వేరియంట్ ఒమిక్రాన్ కేసుల్లో కూడా పెరుగుదల ఎక్కువగా కనిపిస్తోంది. దాదాపుగా 24 రాష్ట్రాలు, కేంద్ర పాలిత ప్రాంతాలకూ ఒమిక్రాన్ చుట్టుమట్టింది. శనివారం ఉదయానికి 1400గా ఉన్న కొత్త వేరియంట్ కేసుల సంఖ్య ఆదివారం ఉదయానికి 1525కి చేరింది. ఎక్కవ ఓమిక్రాన్ తీవ్రత ఉన్న రాష్ట్రాలు మహారాష్ట్ర (460), ఢిల్లీ (351) తొలి రెండు స్థానాల్లో ఉండగా, గుజరాత్ (136), తమిళవాడు (117), కేరళ (109) కేసులతో కొనసాగుతున్నాయి. ఇక తెలంగాణలో 67, ఆంధ్రప్ర దేశ్ లో 17, ఒమిక్రాన్ కేసులు ఉన్నాయి. ఓమిక్రాన్ కేసులనుండి కోలుకున్న వారి సంఖ్య 560 మంది గా ఉందని కేంద్ర వైద్య శాఖ ప్రకటించింది. ఈ శనివారం కొత్తగా కరోనా నిర్ధారణ పరీక్షలు చేయించుకున్న వారి సంఖ్య 10,82,376 వారిలో మొత్తం27,553 కొత్త కేసులు వెలుగు లోకి వచ్చాయి. కొవిడ్తో చికిత్స పొందుతూ గత 24 గంటల్లో 284 మంది మృతి చెందారు. దీంతో ఇప్పటివరకు మృతి చెందిన వారి సంఖ్య 4,81,770కి చేరింది. ఇక కొత్త కేసులు పెరగడంతో క్రియాశీల కేసులు కూడా భారీగా పెరుగుతున్నాయి. ప్రస్తుతం దేశంలో క్రియాశీల కేసులు 1,22,801గా ఉన్నాయి. ఆ రేటు 0.35 శాతానికి చేరింది. గడిచిన '24 గంటల్లో కరోనా నుంచి 9,249 మంది కోలుకోగా, ఇప్పటివరకు కరోనాను జయించిన వారి సంఖ్య 3.42 కోట్లు దాటింది. రికవరీ రేటు 98.27 శాతంగా కొనసాగుతోంది. గత 24 గంటల్లో 25,75,225 మంది టీకా వేయించుకున్నారు. దీంతో ఇప్పటివరకు పంపిణీ అయిన డోసుల సంఖ్య 145 కోట్లు దాటింది.
