WHAT IS THE MOST WELL - KNOWN CHILDREN'S TALE?

1. THE PROUD ROSE 

Once upon a time, a stunning rose plant grew in a garden. One rose bloom on the stem was ecstatic about how lovely it was. It was disappointed to be growing next to an unattractive cactus, though. The rose would make fun of the cactus' appearance every day, but the cactus never responded. The cactus was being bullied by the rose, despite all the various plants in the yard trying to stop it. The rose, however, was too distracted by its own attractiveness to pay attention to anything. 

A well in the garden ran dry one summer, leaving the plants without water. The rose started to fade gradually. A sparrow dipped its mouth into a cactus to get some water, and the rose observed it. The rose then feels guilty for mocking the cactus for so long. However, it went to beg the cactus for some water because it was thirsty. The sympathetic cactus concurred, and they remained friends throughout the summer.

2. THE TALE OF THE PENCIL 

Raj, a young man, was disappointed with his performance on his English test. His grandmother visited him while he was in his room and consoled him. His grandmother offered him a pencil as she sat next to him. Raj told his grandmother that given how well he did on the test, he didn't deserve a pencil. 

Because this pencil is just like you, you can learn a lot from it, his granny said. Similar to how you felt when you didn't perform well on your test, it goes through a painful sharpening. But it will make you a better student. You will find the power to go through this obstacle, just as the pencil derives all of its positive qualities from within. In the end, just as the pencil itself will leave a mark on every surface, you are free to do the same with anything you desire. Raj was instantly comforted and made a commitment to himself to improve.

3.THE ANT AND THE DOVE 

An ant was scurrying about looking for water on a warm summer day. She spent some time exploring before coming across a river, which she was happy to find. To get the water, she climbed on a little rock, but she accidentally fell into the water. She was about to drown when a dove perched on a neighboring tree saved her. The dove swiftly threw a branch into the water when it noticed the ant was in difficulty. The ant approached the leaf and ascended it. The leaf was then delicately removed and dropped onto the ground by the dove. The ant was forever grateful to the dove for saving her life in this way. 

Days were spent happily as the ant and the dove turned into the closest of friends. But one day a hunter showed up in the wilderness. He pointed his weapon at the lovely dove while it was perched on the tree. The ant, who had been protected by the dove, noticed this and bit the hunter's heel. He screamed in agony and put down the rifle. The hunter's words scared the dove, who then grasped what might have happened to him. He soared off!

4.THE ANT AND GRASSHOPPER 

Once upon a time, an ant and a grasshopper were great friends. The grasshopper enjoyed playing his guitar and lounging around all day. But the ant would toil assiduously all day. The grasshopper would unwind, play his guitar, or sleep while he gathered food from every part of the garden. Everyday the grasshopper would urge the ant to give himself a break, but the ant would insist on carrying on with his task. Winter arrived quickly; the days and nights grew chilly, and few animals ventured outside. 

An ant colony was working diligently to dry some maize kernels on a chilly winter day. Cold and starving, the half-dead grasshopper approached his friend the ant and requested a bit of maize. "We work every day to gather and store up the maize so that we don't go hungry on chilly winter days," the ant retorted. Why should you receive it from us? What exactly were you performing last summer, the ant continued. You ought to have gathered and prepared some food. I already said as much to you. 

I was far too busy singing and sleeping, the grasshopper claimed. 

You could sing all winter long in my opinion, the ant retorted. Nothing will be given to you by us. The ant didn't have to worry about food at all throughout the winter, but the grasshopper didn't and he discovered his error.

5. THE ELEPHANT AND HER FRIENDS 

A once-solitary elephant ventured into an unfamiliar forest. She wanted to make friends because it was fresh to her. She called out to a monkey, "Hello, monkey! Do you be interested to be friends with me? You are too large for you to swing like me, so I can't be your friend, the monkey stated. Then the elephant approached a rabbit and posed the same query. I can't be your friend since you are far too big to be in my burrow, the rabbit stated. The elephant inquired the same question of the frog in the pond as well. You are too hefty for jumping twice as high as me, so I can't be your friend, the frog retorted. 

Because she was unable to establish friends, the elephant was quite depressed. Then, one day, she noticed all the animals scurrying farther into the forest, so she questioned a bear about it. The lion is on the loose, and they are fleeing from him to protect themselves, the bear declared. Please don't harm these defenceless humans, the elephant pleaded with the lion as she approached. Please don't disturb them. The elephant was requested to make room by the lion, who sneered. The lion was hurt as a result of the elephant's furious push, which she made with all her power. Slowly emerging, every other animal began to celebrate the lion's demise."You are just exactly the correct size to be our friend!" they greeted the elephant as they approached her.
