The main function of the eye is to create clarity, a picture of things in our environment. These images are transmitted to the brain via optic nerve and rear viewing modes. The various tissues of the eye and its adnexa, thus designed to make the task easier.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The function of the eyelids

 

 

 

Tasks include: (1) eye protection against mechanical irritation, heat and bright light, and (2) pre-cry film, which is important for health care and clarity. Normal eyelid closure requires flexibility of muscle contraction in the orbicularis muscle (facial shape). Tear Film

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The tear film has three layers: mucoid, water and oily layers. A layer of mucoid lies near the corneal epithelium. Improves wet areas of tears. It is produced by goblet cells in the epithelium joint. The aqueous layer is produced by the primary lacrimal gland in the orbit segment and the lacrimal gland resources found in the junction stoma. This fluid contains electrolytes, proteins, lysosomes, immunoglobulins, glucose, and dissolved oxygen (from the atmosphere). A layer of oil (the top layer of tear film) produced by Marian, the glands (altered sebaceous glands) of the eyelids. This oily layer helps to keep a straight column of tears between the upper and lower lids and prevents excess evaporation. Ciliary Body
