What is the latest update of guidelines? How about yellow list countries for international tourist in Philippines?

Philippines- at the present time, the Philippines is making a recovery plan for their economy. As of 4 PM, November 22, 2021, the Department of Health has recorded 984 additional cases of COVID-19. Meanwhile, a total of 2,229 were cured and 218 died.

 Of the total number of recorded cases in the country, 0.7% (19,798) were active cases, 97.6% (2,759,767) were cured, and 1.67% (47,288) died.

 According to the latest report, 2 laboratories were not operational on November 20, while there were 3 laboratories that failed to submit data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS). Based on data over the past 14 days, the contribution of these 5 labs was approximately 2.7% in all samples tested and 2.0% in all positive individuals.

 Everyone is reminded not to be complacent about the threat of COVID-19. Instead, we should continue to adhere to minimum public health standards and always wear a facemask and if possible still use a face shield, do physical distancing, and wash our hands. Everyone should get vaccinated immediately to get extra protection against COVID-19.

interview, a reporter asked the department of Tourism that what does it mean when you say, "principal for allowing foreign Tourists from the green list countries?"

The secretary of Tourism replied that government has agreed and approved the entry of foreign tourists from green list countries. 

They are just finalizing the details and the conditions for entry. They hope that this week, they will have a better answer for that.

Reporter asked again that do we still have cap a capacity limit for travelers inbound arriving in the Philippines? 

The secretary of tourism said that the green list country is not included on the count for travel capacity since there is no need to quarantine for green list countries. Capacity limits will only be counted for yellow list countries. Yellow list country's people who used to be five days. Yellow list country's people who used to be five days. But now it is three days quarantine.

Reporter asked that based on the other Asian countries that has opened up, how is the observation from the department of tourism when it comes to reopening the Philippines for international tourists. 

The department of tourism secretary said we have been watching the reopening worldwide especially our fellow Asian countries as Long as they are doing the minimum Health protocols and people are vaccinated that’s why the government agreed Opened up for green list county foreign tourism because people coming from the green list countries have lower cases. So we will think,  based it on other countries that are reopened as long as we follow minimum safety protocol.

It is also noticed that she used Europe as an example. We noticed that some didn’t follow the wearing of the mask protocol. They had a surge now Europe is once again implementing the wearing of the mask mandatory.

Reporter asked that What is the proposal from department of tourism for a special program for vaccinated travel lanes from yellow list countries?

The department of tourism secretary said that The DOT will also be working with the Small Technical Working Group on Travel on its proposed "Vaccinated Travel Lanes" program to allow entry of vaccinated tourists from yellow list countries under certain restrictions and strict conditions. Top three tourism for them is China, South Korea and America.
