I have been thinking for a few days about what to write, but I do not understand. Yesterday I heard on the news a decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in which it was stated that no judge is responsible for the assets of his wife and children. When I heard this news, I thought I would write about the state of justice in Pakistan. Let me tell you that Pakistan ranks 128th in the world in terms of justice. Justice in Pakistan can be gauged from the fact that a person who committed billions of dollars of corruption was granted bail by a court of our country on a stamp paper of Rs. 50. Not only was the man accused of corruption, but he was a convicted felon, yet he was allowed to go abroad. Some time ago, when sugar became very expensive in Pakistan, the government raided warehouses and sugar mills from where tons of sugar were recovered. Seeing this situation, a court of our country forbade the government from raiding warehouses and sugar mills. Some time ago, a thief stole someone's hen, he was produced in court, when he apologized for his theft and spoke of bail, one of our judges scolded him and also rejected his bail application. A few days ago, I heard the news that a woman who had been in prison for thirty years had been found innocent. A judge in Sindh's Sanger district has banned a mosque muezzin from making prayer over a loudspeaker. The judge said that my sleep was disturbed. And let me also tell you that Judge Sahib was a Muslim. It is said that in the history of Pakistan, there have been only three judges who were honest,
and all three judges were non-Muslims. There was a time when Muslim judges were considered to be the most honest, and just in the world, but the present Muslim judges have tarnished their name and that of Pakistan. Sadly, the decision I heard on the news yesterday, the Supreme Court began with the fact that all are equal in the eyes of the law. And then he wrote in his judgment that the assets of the judge's wife could not be questioned. The decision of our High Court is like a book which has a beautiful, cover but inside it contains obscene stories. I don't know how many thieves and murderers are still roaming free, but our court could not punish them. The fact is that the judges are the most corrupt in this country. The rise in crime in Pakistan is proof that there is no justice. Someone has said that if there is no justice in your country, then hang him on the cross whom you have given authority to do justice. There is less to be written about justice in Pakistan. Our country cannot move forward unless our judiciary is honest. My advice to you guys is, if you ever have a problem, sit down together and solve it, never go to court, otherwise your grandchildren will hear your decision.
