Importance of Friday prayer in Islam:
What does Friday mean?
Friday is the fifth day of the seven days of the week. The word for Friday is Friday. Its literal meaning is congregation. In Islam, this day is given more importance than any other day of the week.
Benefits of Friday Prayer:
Because this day is one of the best days. And like the month of Ramadan, the lord of the week is said to be the lord of all the Islamic months, the Friday prayer has some benefits that no other prayer can offer.
In the past few years, many times Muslims have been attacked and killed while praying on Friday. Prayers have been targeted in countries like Nigeria, Pakistan, Egypt, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Iraq and Kuwait.
Muslims pray five times a day, but the most important prayer of the week is Friday, the "Yuma" or day of gathering.
Why is Friday important in Islam?
Although it seems like an ordinary day, Friday is the holiest day of the week.
Another reason for the importance of Friday is that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "No Muslim dies on the day of Friday or the night of Friday, except that Allah (SWT) protects him from the temptation of the grave." (Timider)
Friday Blessings in Islam:
The greatest blessing of Friday is that Muslims will be able to see Allah Subhash, WA Ta'Ala, as it will be on the Day of Resurrection. In the Holy Qur'an, Allah subcase, WA ta'Ala, says that on that day some faces will be illuminated who will be looking at their Lord.
Allah Ta'Ala has named a surah after Friday:
Allah subcase, WA ta'Ala, has mentioned only two days in the Holy Quran. Friday and Saturday. Allah Almighty has explained the importance of Friday in Islam in a Surah:
"O you who believe! When the call to prayer is given on the day of Friday (Friday), proceed to the remembrance of Allah subcase, WA, ta'Ala, and leave off business. This is better for you if you only knew."
Not only this, but Allah subcase WA ta'Ala, has also revealed a whole Surah in the name of the Holy Day, "Surah Yuma", which is the 62nd Surah of the Holy Qur'an.
Prayer to read on Friday:
The Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, Whoever recites the 18th Surah of the Holy Qur'an on Friday, Allah will grant him light on the following Friday.
Abu SA, EED, may Allah be pleased with him, the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Whoever recites Surah Aliyah on Friday, a light will be made bright for him between the two Fridays.
Summary - Significance of Friday in Islam:
The importance of Friday in Islam is clearly stated. Be it the creation of Adam (BUH) or the end of the world (Doomsday), it is believed that every important event happens and will happen on Friday.
Allah subcase WA, ta'Ala, has emphasized in the Holy Qur'an and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on numerous occasions in his hadith that Muslims should make the most of this blessed day through prayer, repentance and charity.
