 Birth and schooling:

Elon musk's mother was from Canada, and his father was from South Africa. So he was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa.

         He studied at the University at Pretoria later. At the age of 17, he moved to Canada to study at Queen's University in Canada. After studying at Queen's University for two years, I got transferred to the University of Pennsylvania. He got his bachelor's degree in economics and physics; on the way to Stanford University, Elon decided to pursue business in 1995.

BUSINESS STARTUP:

In the starting years of business, Elon co-founded the web software company Zip2 with his brother Kimbal. Later on, The startup was taken by Compaq for $307 million in 1999. Musk also co-founded online bank X.com the same year, which merged with Confinity in 2000 to form PayPal. Then the merged company was bought by eBay in 2002 for $1.5 billion.
