Guru is not a post but a 'path.' Guru is not a body but an 'element.'

Guru is not a name but 'glory'; Guru is not a person but an 'idea.'

This path can never be corrupt,

This element can never end,

This glory can never be false,

This holy thought can never be null.

 Basically, a guru gives knowledge. The meaning of this word in the Sanskrit language is taken from teacher and master. On this basis, parents are considered to be the first Guru of a person. The second guru is the teacher who gives alphabet knowledge. After that, many types of gurus come to life who give basic teachings. It is a Sanskrit word for "guardian, guide, expert, or guru" of some knowledge or field. In all Indian traditions, a guru is more than a teacher. In Sanskrit, Guru literally means one who removes darkness. Traditionally, the guru is the disciple (or chela in Sanskrit) or a person revered for the student, the guru serving as a "counselor, helping to instill values, sharing as much experiential knowledge as That literal knowledge, an exemplary in life, an inspirational source and which helps in the spiritual development of a student." In Hinduism and Sikhism, Guru is also used to mean religious leaders. The Sikhs had ten gurus. The place of the guru who imparts spiritual knowledge is considered above all.[1] However, based on this fact, many so-called greedy gurus have defamed the title of this greatest guru, many of which have also been exposed.[2 ][3][4][5][6]

Now the question arises, how to identify the real, i.e., the true Guru!? In our holy scriptures, the identity of the true spiritual master is given to the Guru. We try to know what our scriptures say about the true Guru.

#Shrimad Bhagavad Gita

In Shrimad Bhagwat Gita, the True Guru has been described as a Tatvdarshi Saint [7]. It is clear in Gita Adhyay 15 Verse 1:-

Urdhava moolam Adha Oakham ashwattham prahu avyyam.

Chhandasi Yasya Pranani, Yah Tam Veda Saha Vedavit.

Translation: Know the world as a peepal tree with its root (root) above, the tree of the world hanging upside down with three guns (branches) at the bottom, it is called imperishable because the cycle of creation and destruction continues forever, that is why it is called imperishable. The leaves of this world-like tree are verses, that is, parts (chance). (Y Tam Veda) One who knows all the parts of the tree of this world with the Tattva, (Sah) he (Vedvit) is the one who knows the meaning of the Veda; that is, he is a Tatvdarshi Saint. As it is said in Gita Adhyay 4 Shlok 32 that Param Akshar Brahm Himself appears on the earth and speaks Tatvgyan in detail with his lotus mouth.[8]

Identity of the True Guru in the Vedas

It is written in Yajurveda Adhyay 19 Mantra 25, 26 that the Complete Guru will explain the incomplete sentences of the Vedas, that is, the code words and one-fourth verses, in detail will tell the worship of three times. A Tatvdarshi saint describes the code words of the Vedas in full detail, through which the Supreme God is attained; he is said to be the knower of the Vedas.
